Fear of Falling Asleep

Fear of falling asleep
Knowing what has awakened
Vulnerable in your bed
Your childhood was taken
Alarm set on the door
To know when it's coming
Huddled up on the floor
It's sad what you're expecting
Drunk eyes gleaming red
Standing at the door
Grabs the hair upon your head
You know there will be more
Crippling fear, all you can hear
The screaming of the being
Dying to know, wish it was clear
How much you'd be receiving
Bruises, cuts, blistered skin
What will you be wearing
Swallow his sins, bury within
Stomach the lies you're baring
Close your eyes
Hope and pray
Stifle your cries
He'll go away
