Bellamy's POV
My heart sunk. Murphy misses his family. The family that kicked him out and left him alone. I hold him in my arms, his body shaking with sobs as he cries into my chest. I rub slow circles on his back and he cuddles up to me, his hand resting on my hip.
"It's my fault. My dad left after he caught me with a boy. My mom kicked me out after she caught me kissing you. It's my fault my family is fucked up." He cries. I pull back and hook my fingers under his chin, forcing him to look at me. He looks miserable, his face red and tear-stained, a few stray tears still lingering on his cheeks. He looks into my eyes, but quickly looks up to avoid making eye contact.
"Hey, look at me." I say quietly, running my thumb over his cheek to wipe away the tears. His gaze slowly returns to mine. "None of this is your fault. The only thing you're guilty of is being yourself, and no one can punish you for that. You're my family now, and I don't want my family hating themselves over something they can't change. I don't care if I have to tell you every day, but I will if it'll make you see how much you matter to me. I love you, John." I say, looking deeply into his eyes and pulling him closer, our bare chest pressed together.
Murphy's POV
I feel pathetic, laying here crying because of my mom and dad leaving me. But Bellamy always knows just what to say. I feel my eyes widen when he tells me that I'm part of his family. When he's done talking, we sit in silence for a minute before I break it, feeling like an absolute crybaby.
"Do you mean it? When you say I am your family?" I ask with pleading eyes. He smiles at me, leaning in and kissing me gently.
"Of course. And nothing matters more to me than my family." He responds, punctuating each word with a kiss pressed against my face. I feel myself blush as I lean into him, tangling my legs with his and draping an arm over him.
"Bellamy?"
"Yes?"
"I love you too." We both smile and with one last kiss, we cuddle up and fall into a deep, dreamless sleep.
***
Bellamy's POV
I wake up with a sleepy Murphy in my arms and a dull pain all over my body. Finn and his boys did a hell of a good job making sure that I'd feel it the next day. I slowly sit up, grunting through the pain. Murphy rolls over, stretching out like a cat on the bed. I look back and smile at the sight of him, messy brown hair and pale skin contrasting to the dark red colors of my bed. I press a gentle kiss to his forehead before getting up, pulling on some clothes, and making my way downstairs.
I know that this is super short, but I ran out of ideas. I think the next chapter might be a huge time jump. I don't know yet. I guess you'll have to wait and see. ; ) This is just a filler/fluffy chapter, but I hope you enjoyed nonetheless.
