Murphy's POV
We sit at our lunch table, like always. When we had first gotten to school that morning, we had gotten the usual stares and whispered comments, but overall, it wasn't too bad. Maybe they finally got over it.
"So how was your first night Murphy? Did you sleep in the big guys bed?" Emori teases, nudging Bellamy with her elbow. I smirk and glance over at him. He looks at me with a smile on his face.
"Actually, we did Emori. I slept in Bellamy's bed with him. And nothing happened." I smirk and she had a big grin on her face. Bellamy and I chuckled at her and he leaned into me, our shoulders touching as he put an arm around me.
"I swear, you guys are too cute." Emori squeals, cupping her face in her hands. This caused another laugh from Bellamy and I. However, our laughter soon stops after we spot Finn and Clarke walk into the cafeteria. Bellamy's arm tightens around me and I scoot closer to him. We return our gaze to Emori, who had looked behind her as well.
"Just forget about them. They're bitches." She says, taking a bite of her apple. I nod and look up at Bellamy.
"Don't worry, Murphy. I'll protect you." He says with a smile. I smile back and he rest his forehead on mine, our eyes closing and his arms pulling me into a side hug.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." I say, standing up and making my way to the hallway. I walk into the bathroom and do my business, then walk back out into the hall. Suddenly, I'm met by a familiar blonde pushing me against the wall.
"Hey there, Princess." I taunt. She doesn't scare me as much as Finn does. At least I'd have somewhat of a chance if she decided to take swing at me.
"Shut up, Murphy." She spits.
"No need to be mean, Princess. I'll leave then." I say, pushing past her. She grabs the collar of my shirt and pulls me back, shoving me back against the wall. "Hey, chill out."
"Is Bellamy really gay? I need to know. Has he even talked about me with you?" She asks, worry mixed with a little bit of anger and regret behind her eyes.
"I don't know. He hasn't told me if he is or not. But he sure as hell doesn't want to talk about you." I hiss. Yeah, I know that we've made out and he's probably gay, but he hasn't told me outright. Besides, it's not my place to tell this nimrod that.
"You're lying. Just tell me. I see the way he looks at you." She says, sliding her arm up to my throat, pressing down and cutting off my breathing. I grab at her arm and try to pull it down, but she holds steady.
"I already told you. Now, back off." I choke out, still pulling at her arm. She looks like she's about to cry.
"Tell me what you did with him." She demands, voice wavering and shaky.
"You really want to know, huh? Fine. He's kissed me. I've kissed him. We've made out. You happy now?" I nearly shout. I feel her grip loosen, so I push her off and step away. She breaks down and wipes tears from her eyes.
"You ruined him! You made him gay!" She cries. "I loved him!"
"I didn't make him gay! He was already that way! Let it go, Clarke!" I shout back.
"Go float yourself, Murphy!" She yells before storming off. I sigh and turn on my heels, walking back into the lunchroom. I nearly run into Bellamy as he walk around the corner.
"Hey. Are you alright? I heard screaming out in the hallway." He questions, looking me over for injuries.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Clarke had a breakdown. That's all." I say, looking up into his eyes.
"What is it this time?" He sighs, rolling his eyes at the thought. We start our walk back to the table.
"She loved you. Wanted me to tell her if you were gay or not and what we did." He tenses a little. I stop him and we stand away from everyone. "Bellamy, are you gay or are you using me to experiment?" I ask him, looking deeply into his eyes. I need to know. If I'm going to be staying at his house, I should know if I'm just a toy or not. He hesitates.
"I'm really gay, Murphy. I've never felt this way until you." He says shyly, blushing and rubbing the back of his neck. I feel myself smirk a little.
"Do you want to try this? Us?" I ask, hoping the answer is yes. He scans my face, searching for an answer inside his heart. He finally nods.
"I want to try this with you, Murphy." He smiles. I smirk.
"Try what, Blake?" I teases, a cocky smile on my lips. He chuckles and looks down at the ground.
"Murphy, would you like to be my boyfriend?" He asks, taking my hand in his and bringing it to his face, kissing it gently. I let out a giggle and smile.
"Of course I would, Bellamy." I respond, intertwining our fingers and pulling him back to our table. We both have big grins on our face, so no wonder Emori questions us.
"What's with the creepy smiles? Did you just fuck in in the supply closet?" She jokes.
"No. Emori, say hello to my new boyfriend." I smiles, gesturing to Bellamy. Her face lights up. She holds up her hand for Bellamy to shake.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Emori. And you are?" She teases. Bellamy takes her hand and shakes it.
"Bellamy Blake. My pleasure." He plays off her jokes.
"John Blake. Has a good ring to it. Now you play nice with my boy or I'll have to take things into my own hands." She continues, barely containing her laughter. Bellamy chuckles and holds his hands up in defense.
"I swear, I will protect him with my life." He laughs, wrapping an arm around me. I blush and shake my head.
"You're so embarrassing, Emori." I giggle, shaking my head.
"About to get more embarrassing. Kiss. I want to witness your guys' first kiss as a new couple." She demands, resting her head in her hands and watching us.
"Emori! We're at sch-" I'm cut off by Bellamy hooking his fingers under my chin and pulling my face to his, kissing me gently but passionately. I kiss back almost immediately, one hand reaching up and tangling in his hair. The kiss is over almost as soon as it started, but I still feel flustered and hot. I feel my whole face turn red and I scrunch up my nose at him.
"I hate you." I whine. He chuckles and kisses my nose.
"I love you too."
This man will be the end of me.
