Chapter 10

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

Kathryn's POV
I slowly look over to my right, seeing an ambulance coming our way at a speed that's closest to the flash. I got confused because Kelyn didn't give the signal for Jake to pull up I thought we were pretty much fucked at this point.

The ambulance flashed its lights like crazy and acted as a barrier between us and the snake lords. The others starts to look the same direction as me, a girl..no a women was taking the wheel which quickly caught my attention. She widened her eyes and  signaled for us to rapidly get in. Ethan let go of our hands and looked back and bent down to quickly pull Grayson onto his shoulders running inside the ambulance as we followed behind Ethan placed Grayson on the stretcher inside the ambulance. He held on to him so he wouldn't fall as the lady steps on the wheel and the car drives off.

I had to hold on to something inside so tight because of how fast everything happened. I got a closer look to see dr. Neshawn J. I was shooketh. Mikey and Jake appeared to already be inside the ambulance when I looked back. Bryce and the rest were coming along later with Kelyn's Car or so I've heard.

"Dr.Neshawn??" I question.she chuckles as she holds a grip of the wheel and her eyes turn a lighter brown almost hazel" Call me Neshawn sweetheart" she grinned  looking up at the rear mirror. I gave her a confused look and put my hands in defense." Ok Neshawn, um why did you Save us h-how do you know??" I stuttered trying to get some answers out of her.

" Grayson hired me to protect you guys, it's like hmm " she puts her hand on her chin thinking," like if he knew all of this would happen you know ?  I'm just doing my job" she replies. " Grayson? That's not possible" I say chuckling leaning against the side of the ambulance near Ethan.

" Honey, Me and Grayson know each other from a while back and he knows what I work for and what I do and I know what he works for and his goal, when you called me in he was truly slightly awake. He looked at me directly in the eyes and I couldn't believe my eyes when I met his gaze I hadn't seen him in years he asked me to do everything in my power to protect you guys because he knew him being hurt was an advantage for Jake to make an easy move on you guys. So here I am be grateful you're alive" she snaps back.

I hum and think back. All these memories flushed back in my head. Kelyn walks towards me and is about to tell Neshawn something. Ethan just looks at her as if he was saying please shut the fuck up and sit down ha. " so like where are you taking us? " she asks and Ethan puts the palm of his hand against his forehead.

" anywhere but where you guys  live that's for sure" she says and Kelyn nods.

Kelyn's POV
We start to hear gunshots hit the back of the ambulance. Right at that moment is when Grayson decides to wake up Great. Totally not a bad thing just wrong timing. That's when Neshawn speaks," Jake Grab the wheel " she says speaking to Jake  as she gets up from the seat. Jake quickly goes to take the wheel as she opens the back doors of the ambulance."Hold onto Grayson tight, kiddoes it's time for some action" she smirks and Ethan finally reacts and gives a slight smirk as he pulls a gun out.

"Been waiting to do this for the longest" Ethan chuckles. We sat Grayson against the floor as his slowly starting to open his eyes back up. We all pull out our guns and point at the 5 different cars behind the ambulance trying to shoot us.

Neshawn Shoots one of the wheels from one of the cars who behind it was a following of 2 more cars which resulted into an explosion because of the crashing. Mallory starts to shoot at the front window of each car making it shatter as Kathryn strikes for the part where the engines located as I shot one of Jakes partner Tessa Brooks was her name I believe on both arms making her weak not being able to keep up as Ethan gets to have the honors to shoot Jake. Although somehow something always fucks up when Ethan has the chance to kill the bitch.
