Chapter 20

Kathryn's POV

I clicked on the strange text from 'Blocked ID'.

'Roses are red violets are blue, Hey so is blood lets see what colors are inside of you'. I rubbed my eyes before reading the text again. I took the risk to reply, 'um is this a joke who are you lmao'

i put my phone down and started writing some notes my teacher wrote on the board as my right leg shaked like there was no tomorrow. I tried to pull it off too but it didn't work well.

"Hey Kathryn are you Okay?" one of the girls that sits next to me asked, "Yeah of course why wouldn't I be" i say chuckling nervously. "Well for one your leg is shaking pretty bad, are you stressed?" the other girl on my right said. "Im fine ok "i replied a bit angry.

they furrowed their eyebrows at me and i shook my head. I picked my phone back up to find some definitions online and got another Imessage text, all of a sudden 'No Caller ID is calling...'

"Are you going to answer that?" the girl on my right says in a soft tone. I look at the name for a couple of seconds. I nod almost unsurely, "May i be excused for a quick moment" i ask the teacher who was working on some meetings. "Make it quick please" he responds and i get up grabbing my things.

I walked up the stairs and out the door, the ringing ended but they dialed back again once i got outside of the class. I slid on the answer button. "Hello?" i question over the phone. The hallway lights start to flicker which panicked me.. I hear a whole bunch of giggling over the phone, "If this is a joke can you please stop its really not funny" i say with a fake small nervous laugh.

the lights then completely shut off and i stood still and very quiet in fear. The lights then turned on and only feets away from me were 2 figures they were both wearing a bloody purge mask, one of the masks said kiss me on the forehead area and the other one was just scary. They faced each other before facing me again and started to approach me. They stopped for a second and pulled a phone out and started typing.

my phone then rings, receiving an imessage notification. I was trembling

i open my phone and quickly go to our chat, '5 second headstart starts now, r-u-n RUN!' i looked back up and they started running my way. I rapidly turned around and ran probablyfaster than the flash, i went up the stairs running toward Kelyn's Classroom and I screamed in fear.

Tears ran down my face. Ive never experienced this type of danger, this hardcore threat. All the classrooms in Kelyn hallways came running out of their classes along with Kelyn. My hair was all kinds of messed up and my mascara was running, but trust me thats the last thing i cared about at the moment. I went running in tears towards Kelyn's arms.

Kelyn's POV

I was texting Jc most of the time in class i felt a bit more safe at least talking to him from earlier. I had gotten a text from Ethan too but i didn't really bother to answer, the text said

'Can we talk? i don't want an argument to come in between us and ruin our friendship and id really like for us to agree on something to put this argument aside' i rolled my eyes at his pittyness. I suddenly start to pick up some screaming from outside which sounded very familiar. I then see everyone getting up and running out the door and i follow along.

All students from each class came running out of their classes. I was so confused on where all the screaming came from but it then hit me when i saw Kathryn running towards me. She was in tears and her under eyes were red and her nose was puffy. She tightly hugged me, i felt her hands shake from fear.

"Kathryn whats going on??" i question. "They're trying to kill me both of them" she says breathing heavily as tears are still falling. "Who Kathryn who??" i ask again. She turns around and sees nobody but kids like us just staring at her. "I swear to you they were right there, they were right there wi-with purge masks and everything!" she yells.
