Chapter 8

63 Hours Left

Mallory's POV

The sun shined bright through my window and the light slid through my curtain's waking me up brightening my room up.I get up from my bed and fix the blankets and everything else and walk towards the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror real quick. I rubbed my face and looked at my eyes in the mirror revealing deep eye bags and my face looked tired although i had slept for 9 hours.

I feel confused as onto how i was sleeping if i was working on so many worksheets last night. "Where did all my work go?" i say to myself rubbing the back of my head. I walk back to my bed and next to it was my night stand which on top of that was about 100 layers of homework and books and all of that stuff.

i let out an exhausted gasp and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and put on some makeup and a decent outfit.

I opened my door and went to the end of the hallway where Kelyn's room was and opened her door. She was sitting down on her bed with Ethan on the computer.

Kelyn looked stressed and concentrated while Ethan seemed to look furious and was furrowing his eyebrows."Heyy is everything okay?" i ask them.

Kelyn's POV

I look up from my computer and so does Ethan to see Mallory standing  in front of the door half way opened. "Hey sleepy head you finally woke up, Im sorry i meant to tell you that i was the one who put all your stuff up yesterday it was pretty late and you had fallen asleep so yeahh.. and everything's good why?" I looked up at her and smiled so nothing seemed suspicious i really didn't want to bring Mallory into this shes already got a lot on her plate after all.

"Morning?" Ethan says jumping in rubbing the back of his head looking at me confused onto what to say.

"Somethings up spill" Mallory says walking inside my room with her arms crossed and sitting next to me.

I snap my fingers when something came to my mind and pointed at Mallory as my eyes widened.

"Um Zach is coming over later to tutor you i got him to do the job..Well he volunteered to and he was my only option so um be ready at 3?" i question it towards the end."Oh okay sounds great but really you know i dont like when we keep secrets from each other" She says.

Ethan looks at me and i give him the eyes to NOT tell her and he does the smartest thing open his mouth (: .

"Okay so last night Zach got a confirmation that they're coming for us they're pretty tough you saw what they did to Grayson.. Then one of his teammates sent us a text or we believe its one of his because it said no caller ID at the top and the text message basically said we have 72 hours to bail Jake out of Jail or they go after Grayson and Kathryn's at the hospital as well so shes indeed in danger at this moment"Ethan says.

"You really cant keep your mouth shut can you ?" i make a sarcastic smile at Ethan. " I was trying not to tell you to protect you because i know you already have a lot on your plate with the whole school and homework thing i'm really sorry but at this moment were trying to find another way to solve this problem." i say looking towards Mallory.

"Its Alright i guess i understand its our Best friend and Your Brother Ethan im sure we can find something to do" she says. Im glad we have someone like Mallory living with us she's most of the times a really positive person who mainly carries good vibes.

"Hey, i maybe have something that can work..but im not 100% sure it is pretty risky" i quickly snap.

"Spill" Ethan say's looking over at me and Mallory on the other hand signaling for me to speak.
