Maddie's POV:
I slowly knocks and opens the door of Lee's office..
"Hey, Lee...can we talk?", I asked him as soon as I entered his office...
"Hmm...", He hums in a nervous manner...
"Well whether you like it or not,we will talk...", I determinedly told him...
"This won't be long but I want you hear your side about what I saw and what Kalani revealed to me... Is there truth to it?", I continued...
"I'm so sorry Maddie... I didn't mean for you to get hurt...", He began talking... His eyes became gloomy...
"I was at fault,because of my relationship with Kalani was imposed to us by our fathers... She said she liked that idea, I was skeptical but I eventually gave in because she showed me how much she cared for me,how much she's willing to be..." He continues...
"And you didn't think I could give you that huh?", I interrupted him...
"I know you can too but I'm scared to disobey my father...he will disown me if I defy his wishes for me to be with Kalani...", He told me while looking outside his office window...
Clearly avoiding my eyes that is angrily glared at him...
"So this is all about money... Do you even loved me? Or Kalani is the one you're truly love now?", I said feeling defeated...
"It's not about that and yes I "loved" you...And to answer your final question,yes I love her but know that I love you too.. until now..." He honestly replied...
"That's freaking messed up Lee...and why didn't you visit me when I was confined in the hospital and is that you that I saw outside the hospital when I was discharged?", I continued to bombard him with questions... All of this are lingering in my mind finding for some answers...
"I know... I know...", He said almost at the edge of crying...
"I was there with you every night that your alone in that hospital room... And yes that was me... I was about to sneak up your room to see you when I saw that Bourbon was there to fetch you and Giada...", He revealed to me...
"But you see, I'm just here to end all of this... It's hard for me to do this but I can't deal with a man who only cares about money,power and hurting the woman he said he'd love forever..." I exclaimed crying balls of tears...
"I don't want to give you the satisfaction of seeing me suffer while you obviously enjoyed being in the arms of my former best friend... So after this break up, I don't wish to see you ever again... And if ever our paths will cross, we'll just pretend that we don't know each other... I hope you do that..." I continued...
"This is goodbye Lee..." I find the door after the finality of my words...
Lee cried not able to move after all Maddie told her...
