ALLURA wholeheartedly enjoyed Pidge and Amal's reunion, but she took the liberty of breaking it up by asking the taller of the couple a question. "Where are we?"

Amal reluctantly took her eyes off of her pained girlfriend, looking to the Altean Princess in despair. Allura's lips were cracked and her white hair was a mess. "It doesn't matter anymore. Whatever this planet used to be is taken over by The Shadow now."

"What about the people who lived here?" Shiro spoke up. Amal cringed at his voice, which sounded like nails against a chalkboard. Everyone obviously needed water.

"Usually most have time to evacuate. Those who don't... well, Janiorce and I saw plenty of empty Shadow Shells." Everyones eyes fell. Amal looked down to Pidge once again when she squeezed her hand, wanting her attention.

"When did I send my last message?" Pidge mumbled, and her eyes fought to stay open. She was obviously wounded to the point that staying awake was a struggle. Amal breathed slowly, thinking for a moment.

"Two months," she answered after she was sure. She could always double check once she got everyone out of here.

"Looks like your calculations were off, Coran," the Red Paladin grumbled. Amal didn't exactly blame them, for time always seemed to be nonexistent in the dark.

"Wait," Hunk spoke up. He still sat next to the two girls, and Amal had to admit he looked just a tad bit different without the orange headband to hold his hair out of his face. That and the large cut that was placed over his right cheek. "You got from Earth all the way out here in just two months?"

Amal grinned slightly, her eyes shining with pride. She shrugged as if to say it was nothing. "It's no big deal. Anyways, my little bud Janiorce here helped a lot. He's kind of a whiz when it comes to that stuff."

All eight pairs of eyes shifted to the alien boy, who waved excitedly. A wide, sparkling smile covered his face, and his eyes glowed brighter. He had always wanted to meet the Paladins of Voltron, even before he knew Amal.

"Uh, he has eight eyes," Lance noted, speaking up for the first time, and his statement was completely true. Janiorce looked almost like a human, sort of like how Allura or Coran could pass as a human being back on Earth. The only thing that differentiated the alien boy from earthlings were, of course, his eight eyes that changed color depending on his emtions.

"Cool, right?" Janiorce giggled, grabbing one of his eyelids and raising it, as if to show off more of his eyeball. "I can see everywhere!"

Lance chuckled at his enthusiasm, nodding in agreement. Janiorce reminded him of his younger siblings. "Yeah, that is cool."

"We've got to get out of here," Coran said exasperatedly. "I've no clue where the castle could be by now."

"Trust me, I don't want to be in here any longer than I have to," Amal responded, before gesturing over to Janiorce. "Over here, bud. Oh, and by the way, don't worry too much about the castle, I have an idea on where it is."

Janiorce did as instructed, skipping over to Amal and plopping down on his knees next to her. He waved to the youngest Paladin, who by now had snuggled her head into Amal's torso comfortably. "Hey, Ms. Gunderson! Did ya know Amal is in love with you?"

"Really?" Pidge smiled. Amal blushed a bit, shaking her head in embarrassment. This would be all Janiorce would mention to Pidge for a few days. She was fine with it, but not in front of everyone else.

"Yeah! Cap'n never stops talking about you!"

"Okay, Jan, that's enough," Amal squeaked. "We have to get ready for Phase 3."
