How It Was: Y/N's Year

//Chapter 9//

♤Y/N's P.O.V♤

After I put my bag in my locker, I grabbed my math textbook and my binder and headed to math class.

I opened the door and looked around.
The only person I recognized was Dante. Great. And the only open seat was beside him, man, the world loves me. I walked over to the table he was sitting in and I sat beside me.

"Oh, Hey Y/N." Dante said turning his attention to me.

Play it cool Y/N, play it cool.

"Hey Fante, I-I mean Dante." I stutter.

Yea, that could've gone better. I groaned and put my face in my hands. Dante chuckled.

"Hey, it's ok, It was just a small mistake." He said.

"Yea, I guess your right, just a small mistake."

"Alright class! I'm Mrs. Scott and I'm going to be your math teacher. Now, today I thought we would do something fun, instead of doing problem solving, I was thinking of putting you guys in partners and get to know each other."

After that, I zoned out. I was hoping I will get paired with Dante. But at same time, I don't. Ugh, this is so frustrating.

"Dante and Y/N." Mrs. Scott called out.

Oh Irean, I'm paired with him. I'm going to be a wreck.

"Looks like we're partners." Dante said with a smirk.

"Yea, looks like we are." I say.

"Come on, let's go to the library." He said, I nodded and we both walked out and walked down the hallway.

"Oh Dante~!" A voice beamed in the hallway.

We both turned around and saw Nicole running over to us. I groaned. What does she want?

I could have sworn Dante groaned as well. Sounds like he's pretty annoyed.

When she reached us, she hugged Dante and glared at me.

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me? My teacher let us have free time!" She chirped.

"I'm sorry Nicole, me and Y/N have to do this Assignment for Math." He said.

"Seriously? You're ditching your girlfriend for this, nobody?!" Nicole said.

"I'm sorry Nicole, we need to get Assignment done." He said back.

"Ugh! You boyfriend stealer!" Nicole yelled at me.

"I-I didn't still anyone's boyfriend." I say holding my books closer to me.

"Whatever, this is why nobody likes you!" She screamed at me and knocked my books out of my hands.

"Nicole! That wasn't nice!" Dante said to her.

Tears were streaming down my face. Everyone knows I'm very sensitive.

"I don't care! She's stealing my boyfriend! And she thinks everyone likes her but no one does! Not even her own family!" Nicole screamed again.

That pulled my last string. I started to cry. I turned around and ran off.

"Y/N wait!" Dante yelled from behide me.

But I just ran. This is why I hate high school. I get bullied a lot.

I turned the corner and I opened the door to the janitors closest. I ran in and closed the door behide me. I looked around and saw that I was alone. Finally. I sat down on the floor and hugged my knees and started to sob.

After about 5 minutes, the door opened.

I heard foot steps and then the door closed. I looked up and see Dante standing in front of me.

"Hey Y/N, are you ok?" He asked.

He held his hand out and I took it, and he helped me up.

"I don't know." I say.

"I'm really sorry about Nicole, she can get like that sometimes." He said.

"Yea."

"And I know that everyone likes you. You are the most amazing girl I know." He said.

I sniffled.

"Thanks Dante." I say hugging him.

I don't care if it's awkward. I just wanted to hug him.

"No problem Y/N, anything for a friend." He said hugging me back.

Great. I'm just his friend.

I pulled away from the hug and turned toward the door.

"We should go back to class." I say putting my hand on the door knob.

"Wait." Dante said grabbing my free hand.

I turned my head so I was facing him and then I felt something on my lips.

I opened my eyes and see Dante kissing me?!

Wait! He's dating Nicole! Why is he kissing me?! I don't know if I should be happy or afraid of Nicole finding out about this.

My face was completely red. He quickly pulled away and his eyes met mine.

"Oh my Irean Y/N, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"I-It's ok Dante." I say opening the door.

I walked out and walked back toward the class.

On the way back, I got my books. Thank God. If I lost my binder, I don't know what I would do. It has all my drawings in it, and I love my drawings.

Finally! It was the end of the day. I can finally go home.

When me and Travis got home, my mom had just made dinner. We were having pasta.

"So Y/N, how was school?" My mom asked me.

That brought me back to the kiss. Should I tell them? No, I shouldn't, because if Travis knows, he would ask Dante about it, and if anyone over hears, they will tell Nicole. And if Nicole finds out, I'm would be dead for sure.

"It was great. Our math teacher let us get to know each other, so we didn't do any Math today." I say.

After dinner I went straight to my room. I had an exhausting day and I just need sleep. I changed into my pajama's, brushed my teeth and now, it bed time!

I flopped down on my bed and pulled the blankets over me. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.
