Kat's Pov
I slowly shut the door and turned around, avoiding his eyes. I'd surely lose all my resolve if I looked into his beautiful blue eyes. Sighing, I crossed my arms and asked "Well?"
"I just wanted you to know that I don't want to make our situation complicated and I don't want to fight, especially on the mission, so I think it's best that we try to be civilised with each other."
My heart sank; so he'd finally given up on me. I don't know why I felt so terrible, this was what I was hoping for. At least, that's what I thought I'd wanted. But now all I felt was sad.
Stiffly nodding at him, I walked to the door. "Oh, and Kat, don't worry about avoiding me anymore. I'll steer clear of you and give you some space." I quickly opened the door and ran out into the garden, tears pouring down my face. My life sucked.
