Sawyer's Side of Things:
We link arms and are marching towards the car like little kids. When I said she looked fine in her outfit. That was a lie. She looks way "too fine" and I want to hurt every guy who thinks so as well. Maybe I can have her wear one of my sweatshirts.
I turn to her and ask, "Hey, you cold?"
She looks up at me and shrugs, "A little bit, but all of my sweatshirts are in the car in my suitcase."
"No worries. You can wear one of mine." I send her a cheeky smile, making her laugh.
"Alright." She replies with a wink.
We walk to my room. I untangle our arms as we get in there and I walk up to my suitcase, I unzip it, and pull my blue one out. I hand it to her.
Her eyes widen, "You just pulled this from your suitcase!"
I shrug not seeing her point, "Yeah, so?"
"I could've just walked up to my suitcase and grabbed one."
I shake my head in protest, "No, no. You're okay. Let's go."
She throws on the sweatshirt and I immediately feel better. What can I say? I'm a jealous person. We link arms and head for the car again.
Riley's Side of Things:
We get in the car.. Parents are in the front.. Miles and Niall are in the middle. Mason is on my right side, and Sawyer's on my left. I buckle up and snuggle into his sweatshirt. If I had to be completely honest, I'm glad I'm wearing his sweatshirt. I'm a little giddy to be wearing it. It smells like him, which is even better. It smells like peppermints and vanilla. Two of my favorite smells. I sigh in delight.
"You okay?" Mason nudges me in my side.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
"You've had your eyes closed for a little bit and then sighed, hahaha." Mason says, laughing.
I blush and look at Sawyer who was grinning at me, holding back a laugh. I look straight ahead, "I was..um..daydreaming about food."
"Food!? You have food in here!?" Niall asks, turning around in his seat.
We all stare at him. Our expressions scream, "Really", but we all just started laughing at him.
"What?" Niall asks innocently.
"I was daydreaming about food. I don't actually have food."
"Aww. We should stop.. Hey dad!" Niall asks as he turns towards the front.
We laugh at him. I lean back in my seat and close my eyes.
Sawyer whispers into my ear, "I know you like my sweatshirt."
I widen my eyes and look at him. "What?"
Sawyer smirks, "I know you heard me."
I blush and nod, "Yes, I do like your sweatshirt." I mumble.
"It's okay. I like linking arms with you."
"You do?"
"I do."
"You know what it reminds me of?"
"What?" He asks in a curious voice.
"My brother and I. We used to do it all the time."
He smiles and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear, "We'll get you back with him."
"What happens to you guys though?" I ask, worried.
"We'll still be here. We'll move closer to you guys. We've already discussed it."
I nod, "Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why do you guys want to move from your home?"
"To protect you guys."
"But, that seems a little overkill for someone you just met."
"It's not. It's what we...." He starts to say, but immediately shuts his mouth, and looks away.
I look at him, curiously. "It's what you guys what?"
"Nothing." He just stares out the window.
I take it as our conversation is over. I lean back in my seat and try to figure out what is going on. I already know that Mason has some hidden secret. Now they all do? I close my eyes and fall to sleep, hoping this awkward car ride will be over soon.
