Wesley and I made it to our house. He turned off the engine to his truck and looked at me. "You ready, sis?"
I look over at him and shake my head, slightly.
"What do they want from us?"
He sighed and shook his head. He looked at me straight in the eyes. "I don't know, but, I honestly don't care. One stupid move and I'm taking you away from them."
I nod. I'm touched by my brother's concern for me. We both feel the same for each other, we care for each other's mental health and physical health... We don't want to end up losing each other. That would scare me more than anything. I didn't realize I was so into my thoughts when I heard his voice.
"Sis? You're doing it again."
I look at him, "Doing what again?"
He smiled, "Getting lost in your thoughts," His smile faltered before saying, "I won't let them hurt you."
I nodded because I knew he meant that. Wesley nodded towards the door, "Let's head in."
We open up the car doors and start walking to our front door..where everything awaits us inside.
