I woke up to the salty smell of the ocean. My window was open and I could feel the warm breeze. Last night was amazing. I can still feel Jay's arms wrapped around me. I have to come back to reality though because I have a surfing competition this weekend.
I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. I pulled out some fruit and made myself a smoothie. While I was drinking my smoothie I ran upstairs and found my wetsuit. I grabbed my surfboard out of my garage and headed down to the beach.
The waves are much calmer today so hopefully I won't knock myself out again. My dad's going to be gone all day for work so Jay is going to help teach me today.
"Hey Ellie!"
"Jay!" I ran to him and I gave him a huge hug.
"You ready?"
"Ya. You don't have to ask me twice. First one out looses!"
We paddled out far but, not as far as last time. I rode a little wave back to shore, but Jay had already beat me. We practiced for about a hour and then we headed up to my pool.
I walked up to my room and found my turquoise Roxy. I pulled my wetsuit down halfway, but I heard footsteps coming upstairs and I quickly hopped over to my door and slammed it. I grabbed my towel and opened my door. Jay was right there so I jumped on his back and he carried me down the stairs.
I set my towel on a pool chair and I jumped into the pool. I was underwater when Jay jumped into the pool. I could barely see his face through all the bubbles. Once they went away I could see his beautiful face. I pushed off the wall like a torpedo. The way my hair engulfed me made me feel like a mermaid. I grabbed Jay's hand and we swam down to the bottom of the pool. We sat on the bottom of the pool and he leaned in and kissed me. I could get used to this.
