Alexander's POV:
28th March
I finished tying my shoes then went downstairs.
"Hey mum." I said walking into the kitchen.
"Hey baby. You gonna eat brekkie?"
"Nah I'm too nervous to eat." I sighed.
"Awww you think Dani is gonna be disappointed if you mess up?" Belle taunted me walking into the kitchen.
"No shut up. I don't want to mess up especially in front of the class."
"You both have been practising non-stop this whole week, you have wonderful voices, and I believe you'll do great." Mum chirped. We convinced Ethan to play the piano for us so we don't have to actually have the song playing.
"Thanks mum." I smiled. I hope she's right.

"Okay class so today we have our two best singers Daniella and Alexander who will be singing the song they picked as a duet." Ms Jasmine said.
Dani and I stood up and walked to the stage. Whenever we have assignments involving multiple people singing we move to the auditorium so we can use the microphones.
"What song are you guys gonna sing?" Asked ms J
"Almost Is Never Enough by Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes." I said.
"And why did you two choose that song?"
"Well we figured everyone would choose an upbeat happy love song so we decided to step outside the box and do this one since it has a pretty deep meaning and its such a beautiful song." Dani said.
"Perfect, whenever your ready."
We nodded and sat on the stools while Ethan sat at the piano. Earlier in the week we got the whole class to listen to the song so they can add in the snaps to make it sound even better.
I looked at Dani and smiled.
"Okay we're ready." She said.

When we finished everyone was clapping but I wasn't really paying attention I was lost in Danielle's eyes. We basically sung the whole song to each other, not breaking eye contact the whole time. "That was amazing you guys. Your voices sound so freaking perfect together." Ms Jasmine said.
"Thanks it felt perfect." She said. I smiled and we finally broke eye contact. The bell rung and soon Dani and I were the only ones in the auditorium.
"You did great." She said hugging me.
"You too. I was so nervous I almost messed up at the beginning." I told her. She giggled and put her bag on her shoulder.
"Hey you wanna come over later? I'll have the house to myself for a couple hours, we can chill like old times." She said.
"Yeah sure, I'm not doing anything today anyway." I said.
"Sweet then I'll meet you at your car once I'm done putting my stuff in my locker." She said. I nodded and went to go do the same.

I laughed and watched as she bounced around the room singing and dancing. Over an hour ago I let her talk me into watching High School Musical so now she's singing and dancing while the song We're All In This Together is on.
"Come on dance with me." She giggled.
"I sang and danced to the last four songs."
"We're all in this together once we know that we are we're all stars and we see that we're all in this together and it shows that we stand hand in hand make our dreams come true..." she sang.
Her voice is so beautiful. Okay I'll admit I may have a small crush on Daniella but I mean I've always liked her, we were best friends when we were younger. Now that we're older I've pretty much liked her more than a friend. But I know that we'll never be together unless José dies in some freak accident and I happen to be the last available boy on earth. I know it sounds so harsh but its true. Dani and I are just too different to actually be a couple and I'm sort of okay with that. Us being together just wouldn't work out the way we'd want it to.
"Alex." She sang
"Dani." I mimicked her.
"Hey you going to junior prom next week?"
"Nah I haven't asked anyone yet and I don't think I'm going, dances aren't really my thing."
"Yeah I'm not going either. I mean don't get me wrong I love dances and I have the perfect dress but I don't have a date."
"Jose's not taking you?"
"No he got suspended for doing some dumb shit so I have no date."
"Oh."
"Hey maybe we could go together to like keep each other company and stuff, it'll be fun."
"Umm sure."
"You don't have to go if you don't want to."
"Oh no I'd love to go with you." I said a little too quickly.
"Yay you're the best." She squealed hugging me.
I may have no chance with her but I can at least enjoy doing things like this with her. I mean who knows, maybe one day she'll fall in love with me.
Ha yeah right.
