11 pm
"Pai stop whinging and deal the cards." I chuckled as my silly best friend pouted and crossed her arms as if I stole her lollies, she's such a sore loser.
"Then stop cheating Em." She sulked and tossed her cards at me.
"I'm not cheating you just can't count." I said pointing to the score sheet in the middle of the table, we've been playing cards for some time now and she swears I'm cheating just because she's losing.
"Both of you are cheating." Tyler laughed taking the remaining cards from his wife and passing us the new cards.
"Okay just call us if anything, I know we love you too, thanks Jade." Adam is on the phone with my little sister Jade, her middle name is actually Jade while her first name is Ivy but for some reason Jade was easier for Ethan to say when he was a baby so it just stuck with us.
Paige and I decided to let Danielle and Alexander stay with Ethan at my sisters new house while Damian and Chad watch Bella and Chelsea at their house.
"How are they doing?" I asked him.
"The kids set up camp in their backyard, they sounded like they were having fun." He said. I nodded and leaned into my husband and watched as they started the new game.
28th July around 2 am
"Hey I made us all coffee's." Ty said placing the hot mugs in front of us.
"Thanks baby." Paige smiled at her husband and slipped her drink.
"Stop cheating Adam." I snapped at him, he's been cheating for the past three rounds, there's no way I'm actually losing now.
"I'm not cheating Em, don't be a sore loser." He said poking his tongue at me, cheeky bastard thinks I'm dumb, he'll get what he deserves soon when I kick his arse. Paige was about to pass everyone their cards when Adams phone, that was sitting in the middle of the table, started to vibrate then blasted the ringtone. We all stared at each other as it stopped then started up again.
Its after 2 in the morning, no one should be calling unless its an emergency. Please God don't let it be an emergency.
The cards that were in Paige's hand have now been scattered all over the table, she knows something's wrong. Tyler grabbed the phone and put it on speaker for all of us to hear, I finally looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Grace, my sisters next door neighbour.
"Adam you need to get down here, Henry and I heard gunshots about 20 minutes ago, I've been trying to call Emily for the past 15 minutes." Grace said.
"Gunshots from where?" Adam asked.
"Ivy and Mia's, Henry went over there to check it out and I'm on my way there now." I couldn't move, it felt as if my whole body went numb.
"Fuck." She cursed. I could hear everyone else moving around me but I was barely even breathing.
"This doesn't look too good guys, just be here as fast as you can." Grace whispered. Adam, Paige and Tyler stopped what they were doing and listened to what was going on, I could hear Grace's footsteps running along the gravel.
