Danielle's POV:
The calm before the storm, that seemingly quiet or peaceful period of time where things are fairly calm and normal, before all hell breaks loose.
6th September
With a heavy sigh I put my pink fluffy towel on my bed and slowly got dressed. Last week I was so excited to be going back to school to see all of my friends and teachers but now I'm absolutely dreading it. Year 12 is supposed to be the best year of high school but pretty soon we'll be leaving all of our friends and going out into the real world. What if we never see each other again? I shook those thoughts out of my head and focused on my clothes.
After several long hours I finally settled on a black top with laced sleeves, a white high rise skirt and black flats with a little bow on the front. Mum wasn't very pleased with the way I destroyed my wardrobe looking for this particular outfit but in my opinion it was worth it.
"Hey Bella should be here in about 10 minutes." My dear sister said walking casually into my room as if its hers. I seriously need to start locking my door.
"Okay I just have to do my hair and makeup and I'll be ready." I told her after I slid my flats on.
"I woke up early so I'm done with everything, I'm just waiting for mum to finish breakfast." She said. While she sat on my bed and talked about some dream she had last night, I sat at my makeup vanity and put on some makeup. I've never been a fan of too heavy makeup so I keep it light and simple.
As I finished my makeup I thought about how mine and Alex's kids would look like. Would they have my brown hair and hazel green eyes or would they have his sandy blonde hair and blue eyes? Maybe they'll have a mix of our features. Wait why the hell am I thinking about this? I should be thinking about having kids with my boyfriend, the guy I love.
"Um hello DJ? Did you hear anything I just said?" Chelsea said. She sighed when I shook my head no. At least I was honest.
"I said Bella, Alex and Ethan are waiting for us downstairs, Dad has to go to work so E's driving us today." She said.
"Okay, just give me a minute I need to do my hair and I'll be right down." I told her. She nodded and left me alone in my room.
"Come on Daniella get a grip, you can do this." I whispered to myself then quickly brushed my long chestnut brown hair into a neat high ponytail.
"Promise you'll pick me up later." I heard Belle say to Chad when I walked into the kitchen.
"Morning baby I made breakfast so eat up before it gets cold." Mum said. I walked over to the table and sat down in the empty seat next to Alex. Of course this was the only chair left.
"Hi princess you look nice today." Dad said looking up from his newspaper.
"Thanks daddy." I said.
"Hey what about us." Chelsea and Belle said at the same time making everyone laugh. Well everyone except for me, I was too busy trying to avoid making eye contact with the man next to me.
"You all look beautiful." Dad chuckled.
"DJ you ok?" Damian asked me. I nodded and stared at the food mum placed in front of me.
"She probably just has first day jitters, eat honey." Mum smiled sitting across from dad. I took a few bites of my eggs and basically had to force it down my throat.
"I'm actually not that hungry." I mumbled. Alex put his hand on my thigh and squeezed softly giving me a small smile.
"We need to leave soon if we want to get a good parking spot." Ethan told us after a few moments of silence.
