Nothing Else Matters Pt 2

Alexander's P.O.V:

18th December, 2018

(Mia is 19 weeks & 5 days, Han is 18 weeks & 6 days)

Sighing heavily, I swiftly paced back and forth around Daniella's room. The winter showcase is in three days and Dani and I have yet to find a song for our duet. We have a great song for the group performance but nothing for us.

We would've had one already but this past weekend we celebrated Danielle and Chelsea's 18th birthday. Although I wanted to ask Dani out on her birthday I had decided not to, I respect that she wants to move on her own terms so I won't rush anything.

"Alex can you please stop pacing? It's giving me a headache." Carmen complained. I nodded and reclaimed my spot on the bed. About an hour ago Dani called the girls and told them to come help us. I'll be happy if we can at least get a topic or a certain singer but so far we have nothing.

I watched as Paris moved closer to Carmen and whispered something in her ear then Carmen's cheeks turned scarlet red.

"Hey my dad needs help with something." Carmen said while looking at her phone.

"Something like what?" Belle asked her.

"I'm not sure, he didn't say but I need to get home." She said.

"Want me to drive you?" Miranda asked her.

"I can do it. I have to go home anyway, I have chores and there's a statistics quiz tomorrow I need to study for." Paris said.

"Okay well thanks for coming guys." Dani said.

"Anytime, later guys." Carmen said. I waved and watched as they left. Something's definitely going on between them. For a few weeks now the two of them have been acting suspicious, they both mysteriously disappear around the same time and when they come back they have a lame random excuse. I'm not sure what's actually going on with them but since no one else has mentioned it I'll keep my mouth shut.

"Hey you guys should do a Little Mix or an Ariana Grande song, that's all I could come up with." Miranda suggested.

"We tried that and we couldn't agree on a song." I said.

"Hazel can you please turn the TV down a bit?" Dani asked her. I looked towards the television to see the show Glee was on the screen. For some reason the girls are obsessed with it, I used to watch it but after a while I stopped.

"Hey who picked the group song?" London asked us.

"Jacob picked it, he said it's his favourite song and it would be fun for us to do since so many people already know." Dani told her.

"You guys should do the song the New Directions are singing in this episode." Hazel told us.

"What song?" I asked.

"Pretending, Finn wrote the song for Rachel and I think it's the perfect song for your duet because the two of you are always pretending you don't like each other but it's so obvious that you do. You guys belong together but you're too stubborn to admit how you really feel, stop pretending and have your happy ending." Hazel explained to us.

I looked at Dani and nodded while her face turned bright red and she blushed deeply. As much as she tries to deny it she knows Hazel and everyone else is right.

"I think that song is perfect Dani." I said agreeing with Hazel. Hopefully she thinks the same.

It took her a while to regain her composure but once she did she looked straight at me and nodded.
