Derrick put his face in his hands. "Jerry, we're in debt right now, what are we supposed to do?"

Sighing, Jerry shrugged. "I have no idea." Jerry and Derrick sat in Jerry's office, conferencing because both companies (more like presidents of companies) were being foolish in this fight as to who was the better company. Trying to one up each other, the two slowly found themselves in debt.

"You have a daughter, right?" Derrick asked, sitting up with an idea.

"I do, Allyson." Jerry raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"How old is she?" Derrick questioned, a smirk starting to form.

"Twenty-four." Jerry sat back, continuing to listen to this idea of Derrick's.

"Normani is twenty-one." Derrick said.

"What are you getting at here, Derrick?" Jerry growled.

"An arranged marriage." Jerry's eyes widened at the great idea.

"That's a great idea! And with the arranged marriage, we should have our companies combine, which means partners have to help pay for a building and such." Jerry and Derrick shared a smile.

Derrick picked his glass of Hennessy up, holding it towards Jerry.

"To a partnership." Derrick offered.

"To a partnership." Jerry clinked his glass with Derrick's as they shared a drink and laughed.

"Wait, what?" Ally's eyes bugged out of her head.

Jerry sighed. "You— you need to marry Normani Hamilton."

"Under what conditions?!" Ally flew out of her seat at the table. Pat flinched at Ally's outburst.

"Under mine and Derrick's." Jerry looked on emotionless, almost as if he was bored.

"And what do I get out of this?" Ally yelled, infuriated. She thought she'd be able to fall in love before marrying, let alone having to marry the person she despised the most.

"I don't know, maybe you'll actually love her." Jerry shrugged. Pat sighed quietly, shaking her head subtly.

Ally laughed dryly. "I cannot believe you," she shook her head, "I'm going out. And you won't need to worry about me." Ally stormed out of the dining room, the door slammed shut made Pat and Brandon jump.

"Let me get this straight. You want me," Normani pointed to herself, "to marry the person I hate the most?" Normani raised her eyebrows. Normani scoffed as her father nodded.

"It's for our companies, we were planning on combining our companies." Derrick explained.

"I don't care. I care about the fact that I am being forced into the one thing I thought I had a choice to. I thought I would be able to fall in love with someone I actually loved and be purposed to and just have an amazing life." Normani sighed in frustration. "Now that's all gone." she mumbled as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I know, I'm sorry about that sweetheart, I really am. But it's for the best." Derrick shrugged, reaching out to touch Normani's shoulder.

Normani slapped his hand away. "Don't talk to me right now, I'm going out to try and process." Normani grabbed her purse and was out the door in two seconds, leaving her father in her own home.

Normani laughed when she walked into the bar and saw Ally downing shots.

"Hello, wife." Normani stood behind a wasted Ally. Ally turned around with a roll of her eyes.

"Hamilton." Ally mumbled as she downed another shot. Ally shrugged and turned back around to find new shots waiting to be taken by her. Normani sighed and sat on the empty stool next to Ally.

"I'll take a tequila." the bartender nodded and poured Normani's tequila in a glass cup. She took a sip, letting the burn slip down her throat. She smacked her lips together at the unfamiliar feeling.

"What? Never had a drink before?" Ally raised an eyebrow as she watched Normani sip at her tequila.

"O-oh, no I have, just not since I've been to a high school party." Normani smiled softly.

"My wife? A partier? Hard to believe." Ally was now sipping on a beer. She's a great drinker, being able to drink a lot before even being tipsy.

"Wife." Normani sighed under her breath, shaking her head.

"Accept it, there's no getting out of it." Ally chugged down the rest of her beer, pushing the empty green glass bottle away.

"I wish there was." Normani rested her head in her hand.

"Oh honey, you have no idea how bad I wanted out. But, because our fathers are idiotic little fucks, they're in debt and need a way to get out of it. We're the outlet." Ally sipped on her second beer of the night.

"I guess we are." Normani muttered, finishing the rest of her tequila.

"For the record, I still hate you."
