"Goddammit Normani just put it in!" Ally groaned in frustration.
"I'm not ready!" Normani squeaked.
"Just do it!" Ally exclaimed.
"Fine!" Normani said, "third times a charm right?" Normani looked at Ally, smiling contently.
"Hopefully," Ally exhaled with relief.
"Come here," Normani held her arms out. Ally fell into her arms.
"These cookies better come out good as hell before I throw a fit," Ally huffed. Normani laughed and kissed her head.
"They'll come out fine, don't worry," Normani said. It had been their third batch of cookies for the night. The first ones Normani let burn and the second Normani forgot to add baking soda.
"I swear if we forgot something," Ally started. Normani put her finger over her mouth.
"No, we did just fine, don't worry," Normani said. Ally sighed and nodded, allowing Normani to hold her.
"All this for a batch of damn cookies," Ally grumbled. She wasn't used to not baking very well, she blamed it on the ungodly hour they were up at.
They needed to make the cookies for a dinner with their parents. Normani was unsure why Ally wanted to make them the night before, but wanted to help and ended up being more of a sore than actually helping. She felt bad that she made Ally stay up this late, especially when she could've done it in the first batch.
"Thank you for helping, you didn't have to stay up this late," Ally yawned, looking up at Ally.
"It's my fault we're up in the first place," Normani shook her head.
"It's okay bubba, truly it wasn't your fault," Ally said, frowning slightly.
"If I hadn't let them burn we wouldn't be here," Normani argued.
"I just didn't set a timer and that's on me, okay? Manz it's not that big of a deal, don't stress about it. Once these come out of the oven we can put them in a container and into the fridge and head straight to bed, how's that sound?" Ally asked. Normani's disappointed look lifted a little at Ally's words.
"Alright, I'm sorry love," Normani apologized again.
"Don't sweat it," Ally placed a kiss on Normani's lips.
"Okay," Normani mumbled into the kiss. They separated a few minutes later when the timer beeped, alerting them the cookies were done. Normani let Ally go to take the cookies out.
Ally turned the oven off and opened it, looking inside. She smiled, they were perfect. Ally put the oven mitts on and got the pan out and put it on the stove.
"Look, they look delicious," Ally said. Normani was turned away, afraid they'd have to make another batch because she'd screwed up again.
Normani turned around to see the round, delicious smelling cookies. Ally was right, they do look awfully good. Ally began putting them in a plastic container to put in the fridge. Normani smiled happily.
"Yay," Normani clapped. Ally smiled at her childish behavior. She covered the cookies once she was done transferring them and put them in the refrigerator.
"Okay, let's go to bed," Ally and Normani smirked and raced up the steps.
They jumped into bed after stripping of their shirts and pulled the covers over them. Ally curled into Normani and they immediately fell asleep.
Ally woke up the next morning to her phone ringing. She grabbed it off of the nightstand and answered it.
"Hello?"
