"Anybody know anything about this thing?" Skyra asked as he, Paolo and Gabi stood across from the hulking Ultra Beast, and the insane man that had seemingly possessed it.

"Didn't they say something about these beasts? The people who sent us here?" Gabi thought back.

"Toby's sister?"

"Ah!" Paolo remembered something. "Sì! That's it! She showed us some files that the International Police had shared with them. There are quite a few of these beasts, but this one was... Buzz... Hm..."

"Buzzwole!" Gabi clicked his fingers. "They said it was a Bug and Fighting-type!"

The Ultra Beast across from them lifted its head, which was now outlined with a swirling black aura.

"I think you're right." Skyra switched the PokeBall he had in his hand.

"In that case..." Paolo prepared himself. "Are you two ready?"

Gabi and Skyra nodded.

"Go, Beast!" Archer commanded. "Kill them all!"

"Hawlucha, go!" Gabi called upon his partner, and the Wrestling Pokemon appeared on the field, arms raised. Gabi had seen the damage Buzzwole had done to my own Hawlucha, and felt as if he had a gauge of its power by comparison.

"Leah, it's up to you!" Skyra brought out a Gardevoir who studied the enemy closely. She had been given to him by Rebekah – fortunate, considering she was a good match-up against this creature.

"Sceptile!" Paolo unleashed his strongest Pokemon, to the surprise of his allies. Sceptile was at a severe disadvantage here, but it seemed that Paolo was fully aware of this fact. As Sceptile joined the other two Pokemon and took up a fighting stance, Gabi and Skyra decided to drop their questions and instead focus on the fight in front of them.

Alicia, Nelly and I rushed to Saffron City, away from the chaos. We ran straight to a Pokemon Centre, and I had Hawlucha examined. The strain on his muscles had been severe, and just a second or two longer against that beast would have snapped some bones and torn his muscles to shreds. He was carried away carefully, and we were told to wait.

"These past few days have certainly been hectic." Alicia sighed, sitting down heavily on a padded seat.

"I'm sorry about that." Nelly said. "I know it must be awful, compared to how quiet your life was a week ago."

"Well, it definitely is not peaceful... Yet it is not all bad, I suppose." The Princess stroked her pet. "I could do without being thrown around, though. It is such a headache..."

"Sorry." I sighed. "Nobody saw that... Thing coming... I was useless."

"Don't beat yourself up." Nelly shook her head. "You just said nobody saw it coming. It's not your fault."

"I agree." Alicia nodded.

"...But should I have known?" I closed my eyes. "My nightmare... Seeing that man reminded me of it... I don't think that man is in control of his own body."

"You mean to say he is possessed?" Alicia asked. "Is that possible?"

"Definitely possible." Nelly replied. "Remember the story we told you about Almia? People being possessed does happen..."

"But who or what is it this time?" I wondered. "Team Rocket are crooks, sure, but... Not once, in all of our encounters with them since they stole our Pokemon, have they ever tried to outright kill us. Yet, this guy shows up out of nowhere and..."
