"Ok, almost there...! Come on, just a little more...!" I took a deep breath and took off, running faster through the pain of exhaustion. Home came into view, and before I knew it I was hunched over the front gate, breathing heavily. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and took my earphones out, letting the ends hang over my hand.

"Phew..." I swallowed, stretching. "That's done..."

For the past couple of months, I had been exercising every day, which included running around the block once a day, whenever possible. My route was nice and quiet, taking me past the riverside and houses surrounded by trees. It was nice to be able to run freely without getting in people's way.

I opened the front gate and stepped into the front garden, closing it behind me. Next up it would be at least an hour of rest before jumping into my workout, which would be another half an hour. It may have been painful at times, but I usually ended up feeling at least a little bit better for it.

"Right... Water..." I cleared my throat and walked towards the front door. When I got to the doorstep, I felt a crisp breeze against the back of my neck that made me shudder. "Huh?" I turned, but the streets were empty. "Hmm." I shrugged, turning back to the door and opening it, suddenly feeling a little disturbed.

"It's just the wind." I told myself, shaking my head and stepping inside.

Up in the skies above, one of several massive transport helicopters soared by without a sound. Each one had their own destination, but they all had the same goal. If anyone were to look into the skies of Japan, they wouldn't see anything. Just a series of tiny dots high in the clouds. But the wind the helicopters kicked up were much more noticeable.

The Hoenn region...

"I reckon I've gotten pretty good at surfing." Ray boasted as he and Hikaru carried their boards back to her house.

"Ha, don't get too cocky." Hikaru laughed. "If you get distracted, you'll start drowning again."

"Hey! That only happened twice!"

"Yeah, but that's two times too many!"

"Fair assessment." Ray lifted his wet hair away from his eyes. "Hey... D'you feel that...?"

"Feel what?" Hikaru asked. And then a cold wind rippled across her back and she shook.

"It got really cold all of a sudden." Ray looked around.

"Yeah, I just felt it." Hikaru frowned. "Hang on... It's not getting colder."

"It's getting... Windier...?"

The two of them looked up to see a giant mechanical beast bearing down on them, as if it was descending from the heavens.

"Whoa! Move!" Ray grabbed her arm and the two of them ran out of the shadow that began to cover them.

The colossal helicopter came down and blasted sand in all directions as its propellers began to slow down.

"That thing's huge...!" Ray stared.

"Who the Hell lands a transport helicopter on a beach?!" Hikaru shielded her eyes.

"Sol! Sol, look!"

"What's up?" Sol wiped his hands with a tea cloth and looked back at his little sister.

"Up there! Up! Up!"

"Calm down, Taiya!" Sol walked over to the window beside her. "Wait, what the-?!"

Outside their house on an open plot of land, a huge helicopter was lowering itself down. The thing must have been big enough to transport entire vehicles.
