LOSING OUT
The Cid
Pain is invisible.
However, you can grasp it
The way my tears fall,
The way I act,
The way I speak,
The way I ventilate
My once concealed thoughts.
Pain is invisible.
However, you can grasp it
The way my tears fall,
The way I vociferate your name,
The way I swallow my pride.
The way I told you I miss you;
I did not hide.
Pain is invisible.
However, you can grasp it
The way my tears fall,
The way I suffer,
The way I tormented
My totality loving you,
The way I penalized myself,
Trying to treat what I feel towards you
With complete disregard.
Pain is invisible.
However, you can grasp it
The way my tears fall,
The way I silently
Implore you to come back,
The way I try not to look back.
The way I buried the auld lang syne
But failed.
Pain is invisible.
However, it is vicious.
It is bitter. It is fatal.
It is slowly taking me away
From my sanity, and I am losing out.
