VERSE OF DELIRIUM
The Cid

If I could bare to sound pathetic,
I would have written a poem for you,
Stating detail by detail
The saddest nights
I've been through─
Alone...
Because you left me
While I was asleep,
With harmful knives of promises
That until now cuts deep.

If I could withstand my tortuosity,
I wouldn't have wasted my time,
Writing a piece for the culprit
Who habitually commits crime─
Announcing all his infringements,
Debauchery in my rime,
And still fancy him after, like...
"How is he even mine?"

I am dumb when I fall,
But name someone who isn't!

I wish to determine this love
In the same way I didn't.

I just swore I'm never writing,
But look at what I have composed!
Another verse of delirium
That demands to be disposed.
