Lotor wept into his beer. Not celebrating, but rather drinking away his humiliation of the events that occurred earlier today. Lance rejected his proposal. Lotor had to inform the town that the wedding was being held off for a short while. Lance said no for now but not for long. For who could say no to Lotor?

Lance, apparently.

"Would you like more beer?" Sendak offered as he cleared the table of the several other beer glasses. Each one represents his shame.

"No. It's not helping." The white haired man sighed. "Beer is supposed to be for celebrations. Everybody drinks to celebrate! Celebrate my marriage with Lance that he said no to."

Lotor leaned his head on his the palm of his hand, his arm placed on the arm rest of his chair. His father also owns the local pub and so he gets his own comfy chair in front of the hunting trophies.

"He'll come around. He just needs to realise what he's missing out on."

"But I'm humiliated."

"Not quite, sir. You could never be humiliated. Everyone wants to be you!" Sendak began his major ass kissing when Mr McClain barged through the door and cried for help.

"Help! You have to help me! Someone has to help me! L-Lance- a-an-and a b-beast!" He bashed into tables and grabbed people by the collars of their shirts. He stuttered his words and no one could make any sense of what Mr McClain was saying.

"Woah! Calm down Mr McClain! What happened to Lance?" Lotor grabbed the shell shocked old man to steady him.

"A beast, that's what." Joined a new voice. Lance's older brother Nic strode into the bar and towards where Lotor and his father were standing.

"A beast? You mean like a wolf? Or a bear?" Lotor questioned. "Tell me what and I'll kill it. I'll kill it for Lance."

"N-no! Not a wolf of a bear! A beast. He was tall!" Mr McClain ranted.

"How tall?" Came a mocking voice from  the audience that had began to gather.

"Seven foot at the least! And he had sharp teeth! Sharper than a pitch fork!"

"What about his eyes? Did they glow?" Came another voice and the people around them began to laugh.

"Yes! Bright yellow!" Mr McClain felt as if people were going to help. In his panicked state, he couldn't hear the mocking and the laughing.

"Mr McClain, your old now and your mind is beginning to play tricks on you." Lotor said, faking sympathy.

"That and he's batshit crazy!" Yelled Sendak. The entire bar, including Lotor, laughed.

"W-what? N-no I-" Mr McClain began.

"I was there to!"

"Nic. You can't let your father brainwash you like that. You have a wife and child to care for-"

"No! I saw the beast and it's nothing like what you would imagine! It's big and intimidating and it has my little brother!" Nic shouted. "We came here for help but if you don't want to give it, fine! We'll do it on our own." With one last glare at the crowd, Nic grabbed his father by his thick forearm and and dragged him out of the pub angrily.

If they weren't going to help, so be it. They knew the route to the castle and they knew where the farmers hid their pitch forks. They would do this on their own.
