7 - Summer Camp

Serena's POV

"Hey, where are you going?" I turned around and saw my five-year-old friend, Dawn, looking at me as I was about to leave the house we were staying in for summer camp.

"I'm just gonna take a quick walk." I smiled, going out the door but before I could close it I heard my friend speak again, "Be careful!" She shouted, I responded, "I will! Cya!" I closed the door and started walking.

As I walking through the forest, I suddenly heard a noise from a nearby bush. I looked at it, confused and slightly scared. Soon, a Beedrill came out and my eyes widened in fear as I started to run. As I was running, I could hear the Beedrills following me and I felt a tear drop from my cerulean blue eyes. I kept running and running, when suddenly I accidentally tripped on a wood lying on the grass. I fell, and tried to get up, but a pain from my right knee stopped me from doing so.

My eyes widened in fear as the Beedrills came closer to me, and a felt a tear drop from my eyes. The Beedrills came even closer to me and at this point, my heart felt like it was gonna pop out any time soon.

Closing my eyes, another tear dropping down. I waited for the pain to come..

only to feel nothing.

"What..?" I whispered to myself, I slowly opened my eyes and it widened as I saw that a boy about my age was standing in front of me, and it looked like the Beedrills went away.

All I could do was watch him fall to the ground, completely unconscious.

I suddenly heard a voice behind me, a very familiar voice,

"Serena!" She looked at me and ran towards me, "Serena, where have you been? It's been an hour since you-"

She turned slightly and saw the unconscious raven-haired boy right next to me, What happened?!"

"Well.. A group of Beedrills were about to attack me, but I guess he saved me and took the attack instead.." I quietly answered.

"Well, we have to say this to everyone!" Dawn shouted. She paused for a minute but soon continue, "I'll reel everyone, you stay with him. Be back soon!" She smiled and ran off into the house.

I blushed a bit when she said I'll stay with him, and my heart started racing.

I went over to his side and bent down, despite the pain from my knee. Never did I leave his side once, and not once did I even move and inch.

Minutes past and soon Dawn and everyone else came to help him get back to the house. Dawn helped be walk as the pain on my knee still hurts a bit.

After we reached the house, Dawn treated my knee while Professor Oak helps the boy who saved me.

We waited for about 30 minutes and we finally got to see him.

As I enter the room, I can see him sitting on the bed, looking out the window.

I took a deep breath, "Hi."

He slowly turned around and smiled as he saw me, "Hello!"

"Um.. Thanks for.. Saving me earlier.. And sorry I got you into this mess..." I looked down to the ground.

"Hey, cheer up! I'm completely fine now!" He said, which made me smile weakly, "I'm Ash by the way, nice to meet you!"

I smiled, "My name's Serena, nice to meet you too!" I greeted back.

And that's when another friendship happened.
