Ash POV
My eyes were drenched in tears again.
I slowly held Serena'a hand, not daring to let go. Her pale hand was so cold.. oh, she must be so scared right now.. I promise.. you'll get better.. I promise..
Oh, if only I would've went there faster, if only I was by her side.. if only..
Please wake up..
"Serena.." I whispered, "I know you can heear me.. and I just want to tell you that I'm sorry.. sorry for not being with you.. sorry for not protecting you... I should've been by your side.. I should've been faster at saving you.. and even though I can't remember much about you, I know that you were the best person in the entire world. And.. I.. I love you, Serena.. That's all.." Tears made their way through my eyes, and soon enough, they were falling like little raindrops.
I looked at the floor, my cheeks drenched in tears. All I wanted and I need right now was for her to wake up. I'll do anything just so she could wake up..
When I went to this Pokemon Center, I was only planning to join the tournament.. but I didn't expect things to go this way.. I wasn't even planning on joining.. I never realized that this one desicion in my life would change everything...
I looked back at Serena, and happiness filled me when I saw two blue cerualean eyes looking into mine. More tears made their way out of my eyes, but unlike those other days - this one was tears of joy.
I instantly hugged her tightly and closed my eyes, and I felt her tears fall on me too. Not once did one of us moved, and not even a second did the tears stopped flowing in our eyes. She suddenly spoke, and her graceful, soft voice made me calm and peaceful. And those four words that she said made me shed tears of joy more.
"I love you too, Ash,"
