"What? Courtney it's Bridge."

Courtney began to cough, making her whole body shake.

"Scott told me I should come watch you because you have the flu or something. You feeling any better?"

"Fantastic." Courtney pulled the covers over her body some more and got comfortable.

"I'll go get you some water."

Courtney dozed off as Bridgette walked out of the room.

She hadn't been sick in forever, at least not this bad.

"You're so pretty."

Duncan got into bed with her, "I know. You need to get some sleep, you'll feel better when you wake up."

Courtney smiled as she looked at her boyfriend, she was high on all the medicine she took.

"I like your hair. I know I always tell you I want it changed but I love it, you're so cool."

Duncan began to spoon her, "And I love you. Now go to sleep."

Courtney was already passed out by the end of his sentence.

She opened her eyes and saw Scott standing at the end of the bed.

"Scott?"

He had a frown on his face, and the veins in his pale arms were popping out.

He just stared at her with a hurt look on his face. She tried getting up, but her body rejected movement.

"Is everything okay?"

Scott sighed, "You said his name."

Courtney was confused for a moment, trying to figure out who he was.

Then it hit her.

"Scott...I must've had a dream i'm so sorry."

She began to cough, hard.

Scott just stood there, not offering to help her at all.

"I'm going to the bar."

Courtney was hunched over the bed now, leaning off the edge vomiting into the puke bucket.

It wasn't her fault that her subconscious thought about him, it's not like she could prevent it.

Actually you can, you constantly think about him day and night.

What the fuck did you expect.

Courtney pulled the covers over her freezing body, groaning in pain.

Maybe you should just die here.

She closed her eyes, she knew she was overreacting.

It's not like anyone would care even if you did.
