Rapunzel
I hung another painting on the wall of my studio and admired my handiwork. I had painted the city at night from my view out of the studio window.
As I began cleaning up my mother rushed into the room.
"Rapunzel I have wonderful news!" She announced.
"What is it?"
"A gallery in Burgess wants a Rapunzel Corona original! And they would like to meet you. They have a job opening! This is such a wonderful opportunity dear!" I squealed in delight jumping up and down. I knew if I embraced my mother she would get mad at me for getting paint on her dress.
"So when do we leave?" I asked.
"You leave tomorrow. Get cleaned up and then pack. I have to book your flight!" I followed her orders trying to ignore the panic building up inside me. My mother barely let me out of the house and now she was sending me to Burgess alone.
I finished cleaning my studio then darted to my room to pack. I stuffed some clothes, nice shoes and all my other necessities into a suitcase and zipped it shut.
This meeting could change my life forever. But I would have to go through it alone.
The next day I was on a plane headed to burgess. Unaware of what other changes were to come.
