Baekhyun had always loved to have his hands on me, but not in the way you would think.

He loved to grip my skin so tightly that It would leave bruises, his favourite to create was blue.

Sometimes he liked to make drawings out of the handmarks left on me, occasionally pressing down extra hard on the fragile skin just to watch me lurch up from my doze and yelp at the sight of him.

When we slept, I always started on the very edge of the mattress. Yet when Baekhyun crawled in next to me, his arms would clamp around my waist and I would sleep with both eyes open.

He was too strong for my feeble body to overthrow and I knew that Baekhyun had too much fun brutally bruising me to sign divorce papers.

I always made sure to leave the house by 7:00 AM every morning, even when I wasn't rostered on at work. Why? Because in my house, domestic violence is more than just a living standard. It's got to the point that I'm afraid of seeing my husband, living in his shadow isn't enough anymore.

People see the harsh bruises that decorate my legs and they ask questions. People ask about the scar now brandished under my right eye and I can never bring myself to tell them that it was my husband in his drunken rage.

So when my neighbour Kyungsoo was collecting his mail on Monday afternoon and offered his heart shaped smile. I asked him a favour.

You see, Kyungsoo was a pharmacist through the day but spent his nights practicing the dark arts. His home was littered with pentagrams as if they were knick knacks, voodoo models of his enemies stood proudly on shelves. Candles sat by every door, window and wall allowing us to bask under the diminishing light.

"The spirits are here, what is it you want them to do?" My palm had been freshly wounded by Kyungsoo's knife, allowing a thick thread of blood to trickle over the edge of my hand and land in a puddle of its own kind.

"I want you to kill Byun Baekhyun"
