Kyungsoo's heavy breathes lightened at the sound of Baekhyun's singsong tone. The threat brandishing itself upon Kyungsoo's mind as he scrambled from his once comfortable position. I had made a silent beeline for the fire escape, through the bedroom and out the open window before Kyungsoo's front door fell from its hinges."Come out come out where ever you are baby" He teased as his heavy footsteps took over the apartment space. I hadn't heard a thing from Kyungsoo, not a whimper nor a sob. I presumed he had managed to hide himself from Baekhyun's empty white orbs.
My breathing had subconsiously quickened and my heart beat thudded in my ears. The need to cry tumbling into me and knocking me out like a bowling pin.
"There you are baby" Baekhyun's sugary sweet tone was whispered within my ear and tickled the lobe. His hand snaking around my waist and tugging me from the open window. His frame standing inside the window, paper white eyes crinkled awaitingly, expecting a minor excuse.
"The water wasn't working, so I asked Kyungsoo if I could use his bathroom" Baekhyun laughed at my stupid excuse, his head tipped backwards as a loud cackle escaped his lips. I'm sure the expression on my face confirmed my lie but baekhyun failed to mention it.
"I'm sure he did, now lets go. You've got a long day ahead of you tomorrow and I'm sure you're cold. Look at your skin, you're shivering" Baekhyun tugged my body into his, expecting a sudden warmth to swallow me was sooner than later faced with a harsh reality. Baekhyun's body was cooler than the vicious insults once thrown at me when his heart had beat.
Baekhyun had led me from the apartment, my eyes meeting a frightened Kyungsoo peeking the top of his head from the Couch's behind. His spirits had majorly screwed up and now as he stared at Baekhyun, could he see how serious I really was.
"Honey, I know that me suddenly showing up has got you frightened. But I wanted you to have this" From the base of his cool hand lied a circular ring, imbedded with both diamonds and crystals. I recognised the object, the same ring that had been placed on my ring finger on my wedding day. The same ring I thrown harshly into Baekhyun's casket.
The man's once beautiful hands curled around my own before slipping the ring onto my finger. My eyes trailed over his face, watching as he intently stared at my bare fingers.
"Don't take this off again"
