Grayson's pov I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, I slowly sit up from my bed and I heard a knock " Gray wake up" Ethan said through the door " I am up asswipe" I replied he opened my door " what happened yesterday after you know that thing with Laya ?" He asked curiously " well I just went up to her and apologized about how Lindsey was acting we didn't know she was the queen and all so yea " I said simply " that's it ?" He questioned. Well he is my twin and he knows me better then anyone Laya was beautiful and smart I actually kinda liked her .
"well we touched and I got this weird tingly sensation almost like electricity went through my body and when I looked at her it felt like I loved her and I needed to protect her and be with her all the time" I said nervously " Dude you know what that means right " Ethan said with a smirk on his face " I found my mate ?" I questioned and he simply nodded . " wait I didn't catch a sent from her though " I said curiously he turned to me and said " it starts with touch after you've touched each other the next time you'll see her you catch her sent if you don't catch a sent she isn't your mate maybe you'll find out today if she's your true mate" he said while getting off my bed and walking out . If she's my mate would that make me king ? Or would that just make me her mate.. I hope she is my mate she's so beautiful and perfect .. wait what am I saying I barely know her .
Layas pov I don't know what's going on, ever since Grayson and I touched it's like I can't get this boy out my mind. Like I could just go into the kitchen for a drink and I'll catch myself thinking about him and us it's strange. That feeling i had gotten it's almost as if the second I touched him I fell in love with him but I couldn't have .. I barely know him I can't love somebody.. I never have experienced true love. I've had relationships but I was never in love with anybody . I need to call somebody I need answers what is going on ... as I was thinking I quickly got up and went in the shower and did my business I decided to get dressed

And straighten my hair . After getting ready I decided to go check on Jannick and Maven but they weren't in their rooms ... hmm that's weird but then I check the time I was late to school . Ughhhh. Guess I'm walking . I thought to myself but school isn't a far walk so it's okay I guess .
Mavens pov We were about to be late for school, Jannick and I kept trying to get Layas attention but it literally looked like she was in some sort of a trance . So instead we just left her. She figure it out once we leave . Ethan's pov As Gray and I entered the building with our pack we noticed Layas friends are by there selves .. hmm where's Laya ? . I turned to gray and he was sniffing the hair as a girl walked into the school . We both turned our head and there was Laya I turned to Grayson as he growled "mine" I looked at him and patted him on his back and told him "go get her" but Laya seemed stand off ish she kept looking at Grayson so he walked over to her . Layas pov As I walked into the school all attention was on me. But a few minutes later I heard a growl and then "mine" . As I looked up I seen Grayson and Ethan and their pack and I didn't really know what to do honestly I was scared to feel love . Grayson soon walked over to me " Hey Laya " he said nervously " uh hi gray" I said "gray?" He said shocked " oh I uhh mean Grayson hi Grayson . " I said nervously chuckling " no it's okay gray is fine as long as I can call you Lay" he said smiling " uhh yea that's okay" I said he kept looking me deep in my eyes while I was taking in his features he's perfect but I'm so afraid to let somebody in and let them love me .. Grayson's pov I noticed her staring and taking my features in and I could tell she was holding back like she has something she's hiding maybe she hasn't realized we are mates yet ? I smell her beautiful sent of vanilla and god it was driving me crazy . " well Lay can we talk real quick ?" I asked her to break her out of her trance " yea yea of course " she said smiling as we walked through the school to go to the benches I noticed everyone bowing down to her . I completely forgot she was the queen. We finally made it to the benches " well uhh you know how when touched yesterday?" I said scratching my head nervously she nodded her head letting me know she remembers "well I felt this tingly feeling when I touched you, I didn't know what it was but Lay I can't keep you off my mind" I said now facing her and looking into her deep brown eyes " I understand I felt the same thing I can't stop thinking about you gray" she said as she lightly placed her hand on mine and there it was the tingly feeling again.. I looked down at out hands then back at her " and then today when you walked in I smelled this vanilla sent well my wolf did and when we saw you I growled and said mine" i said still looking at her . " yea I uh heard that but I don't know what any of this means " she said looking down I lightly picked up her head by her chin so she could look up at me " but I do Laya that means we are mates, we are meant to be together" I said " your your my what.." she said shocked Layas pov This is a lot to take in Grayson just said he's my mate I mean I barely know the kid but it also feels like I've known him my whole life, " what do you mean Grayson " I said nervously " we are meant to be more then friends, we are meant to be family to protect to love each other " he said simply " well uh okay Grayson I guess I'll have to get used to this " I said simply he looked at me and smile god that smile warms my heart we soon stood up from the benches and began walking to class after our talk. He walked me to my class " well thanks for helping me understand this whole mate thing gray" I said smiling at him " your welcome beautiful " he said smiling . He quickly hugged me " meet me after class?" I questioned him " of course babygirl" he said we released the hug and I quickly pecked his cheek only to see him blush . We finally went our separate ways but I still couldn't get him off my mind.. baby girl... beautiful.. mine ... mate ... it all seemed crazy I'm Grayson's mate ..
