From Two Different Worlds

Can We Move Forward from This??

Mike POV:  

  It's been couple of hours since  Anna came by the studio telling me that she wanted us to be together again I was thrilled but when she told me that I can no longer be friends with Angie anymore I had to think about it. After Anna left Chester came in with two containers of soup, he tells me that he went by Angie's place told her about Anna stopping by. I watch him place one the containers near me "Angie made this for you she heard you coughing so she made this hoping it made you feel better." He walks to the couch and sat down to relax. I turn the chair around to face Chester "What do you think I should do man?" I know that Chester will give me the honest truth even though I don't want to hear it. 

Chester:  If Sam gave me a choice like Anna just did I would kick her to the curve. Angie is too nice of a girl to be treated that way specially for her past when she had no control over it.  Anna wanted the divorce not you. But that's up you man by the way just so you know Angie has feelings for you more then a friend and she will to step out of your life so you can have your happiness. 

  Hearing Chester saying that I was completely shocked, Angie is willing to leave my life in order for me to have a life with Anna again. I sat there in silence thinking all the things that has happen over the weeks hanging out with Angie, I start to smile a bit knowing how happy I was hanging out with her enjoying her company. Then I was starting to realize that I am also getting feelings for her. So I made up my mind I call Anna and tell her that I am not going to give up my friendship to Angie and that I will still be there for my kids, once I was done with that call I gave Angie a call few times but they all went voice mail so I left her few voice mails. 

The Next Day:

   I still haven't heard back from Angie so I decided to go and visit her to see if she is okay. Once I got there I knocked on the door and I see someone coming to the door and it was one of Angie's roommate. "Can I help you?" I see a tall girl with long brunette hair "Hi yes I was wondering if Angie is here?" I can see that she crossed her arms and gives me a nasty look "Why would let you see her Mike? You already broke her heart once why would let you do it again?" I know that her roommate is being a friend "I know that I hurt Angie's feelings but I am here to make it up to her and let her know my decision I made between me and my wife. Please let me see her." I hear her sign and she step aside to let me in, she tells me to follow her which I did. We round up in a little area of the house that shows the backyard. I thought it was amazing how the glass table, fancy chairs, and the flowers matched the room nicely. "Place is beautiful Ms.???" Turning to face the lady "My name is Mel Gray and thank you Angie actually decorated this room I will go get her you stay here." With that she left the room I sat down and waited for Angie, I kept admiring the room and beautiful it is 'Can't believe how awesome work she did in this room.' My thoughts were interrupted by someone foot steps  I looked at the door way to see who was coming. I got up from my seat and to my surprised it was Angie looking cute then ever. She was dress like a 50's house wife with a cute white apron on I could tell she was cooking. "Hello Mike, you can sit back down." I sat back down and Angie sits right next to me, I can tell she has been crying her eyes are all red "What you wanted talk to me about Mike?" I took a deep breath and I start telling her that I decided not to go back to Anna. 

Angie POV: 

   Mike starts to explain to me that he didn't want go back to Anna not only because he didn't want lose my friendship but because his feelings towards her has change. He tells me that he left few messages on my phone explaining his decision that he rather be part of my life then not be part of it at all. I looked at him "Why is it so important to being in my life Mike? I am just a normal college student who is trying to in print this world." I watch him grabbing my hand which a allowed him to do "Before I met you I was in a dark place Angie I didn't care about anything anymore, but once I got to know you and hang out with you I felt like you brought light into my life once again. To be honest I don't want that light to disappear again." I sat there trying to wrap my head around everything Mike just said, as I sat there I hear someone walking I turned around to see it is Mel coming with some coffee and the cookies I just finish making. "I thought you guys might be hungry and thirst so I brought you guys drinks and food." Me and Mike thanked but before she left the room she whispers in my ear 'It takes a brave man come here and asked to be your friend again I think he deserves a second chance.' 

Mike POV: 

  I take a bite out of the cookies and they were so delicious Angie tells me that she was making cookies before I came by.  As I sat there drinking the coffee that Mel made for us I hear Angie sighed "I am willing to continue our friendship Mike and also continue being part of your life because to be honest I don't you leave my life at all." Hearing Angie say that made me feel super happy, I tell her that I won't take her friendship for granted and I am happy that she wants still be part of my life. After few hours of talking to Angie I finally had the courage to ask Angie a question "Umm Angie? I was wondering if you are free this weekend?" I was starting to get nervous "I think I am free this weekend why you ask Mike?" I was started to stare at my coffee cup trying to get the courage "Well I was wondering if you like to go on a date with me?" I was waiting for a ejection from her but instead I hear her laughing I looked up with a confusion on my face. "Of course I will go on a date with you Mike the way you asked me it was so cute!" I started to blush when she said that. I looked at my phone and saw it was getting late, I tell Angie that I had to leave we started walking to the door "So I will pick you up at seven?" asking her while I exist out of her house, I turned around to face her she gives me a kiss on the cheek "Seven it is I will see you soon Mike you have a good night." I nod my head and start walking to my car I placed my hand where she kissed me and I started to smile. From that moment on I knew I made the right decision.
