Work... Work...
Work!!!
The amount of work I received this week was actually insane.
I even got less sleep than I did last week.. which isn't healthy, considering that people told me I needed much more.
It phased my mind how stupid of a job mine was, I literally felt like I was doing more hours than a regular full time job.
But I can't just leave the first month.. because if I were to try to find another job it would be very difficult.
They probably wouldn't like on my resume that I dropped out of college.
It's been about two days since I've updated anything on my daily art tumblr page.
The comments weren't very nice towards it either.
Reading some of them made me want to cry.
"You said that you'd update everyday... So why the hell has it been two days and I see nothing. Lazy worthless scum of the earth."
I scrolled down, trying my best to ignore them. Some where nice.
"Hey everything alright? You usually add something here everyday.. Even if it's only a quote from a movie or something."
"Awh, no update again? I really enjoy your work, so I guess that's alright."
I switched off my cell phone after writing an apology.
"Screw work." I laughed a little, stepping outside with my weapon of choice.
One of my sketch books of course.
My head tilted to the direction I usually found Avery in.
I was really happy when I saw her silhouette seated on a bench across the parking lot.
She didn't turn around, nor did she notice that I was there.
"Boo!" I tried my best to scare her a little.
Avery laughed. "Nice try, Alex."
"What?! How did that not scare you??" I frowned.
"Well firstly..." She sat facing my direction, and poked my nose. "You're adorable."
"Secondly, I'm too scary myself to get scared." Avery grinned.
"That's not fair." I groaned.
"Yeah it is!"
"Anyways.." I quickly switched the topic laughing. "What were you up to before I interrupted you."
"Nothing, I was just deep in thought." She shrugged. "I'm glad it was you that interrupted me though."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're just really nice to hang out with, and I enjoy your company."
A smile formed on my lips.
"You too..." I nodded.
"So.." Avery thought for a second.
"How'd work go for you the day where you got that phone call? I still feel a little bad about it."
"It was alright.."
Avery looked away. "Yeah.. working for Cole can be really hard sometimes."
I jumped after hearing her say his name.
"Cole? How do you know I work for Cole Anderson?" I raised an eyebrow.
"What?" Her voice was slightly confused. "Oh.. um... You..told me, remember?"
