Days after their fight, when Wai would normally come over and confirm temple in the morning, he was not there.
Apo was starting to worry that maybe he'd gone too far with Wai this time. This was for sure one of their most heated arguments and the thought that Wai would distance himself was pretty scary. Apo slipped his shoes on and headed to Wai's gate. When he rang the bell, he saw Wai look out a window upstairs, he waved to him and, a second later, the gate started to roll back and he headed for the front door.
With nothing more than a towel around his waist and another wrapped behind his neck, he pulled the door open. Wai's hair was still dripping from the shower. "Come in Nong."

Wai walked ahead of him and to the back of the house where the kitchen was, he grabbed some juice from the fridge and two glasses from the cupboard.
The whole distance, Apo's mind was playing tricks on him again. Wai's back and, every muscle in it stood out to him tonight. "How many times have I swam in my pool with this guy? How come I never paid attention?" Wai's skin was the colour of tawny gold, it was scarless, hairless and, for the first time, that beautiful skin called out to Apo to touch it. "Oy!, I can't do that."
