Chapter 45

Third Person

"Mommy why are you crying?" The young girl spoke

"No need to worry" the young mother reassured her.

All 10 friends packed their belongings and waited in the living room. They were deciding whether to leave tonight or stay, they agreed that being together was what they wanted.

Jack and June sat at the table and talked

"I've never stopped loving you. I wouldnt mind spending the rest of my life with you" she said making him smile like a fool

"I love you" he said at ease as they went to lay in the bed and cuddle one last night in this bed. Kissing each other goodnight they went to sleep

It was nearly 4 am when there was a banging on the door. June immediately woke up, confused at the thought of how he could find the house or them. Pushing jack awake, she tapped on everyone. The room grew still as fear took over. Peaking through he peep hole was billy, gun loaded.

"June come outside I know you're in there" he screamed as he banged.

Carter called the police, June slowly opened the door which revealed him. She stood their alone.

"Billy, what do you want?" She said numb as she stared at the gun

"Where's that boyfriend of yours?" He whined

"In Los Angeles, where you should be. How did you know I was back home?" She asked growing concerned as he picked up the gun

He explained that he had people who watched her, how he was madly in love with her and that he didn't have any rights to be with anyone else.

Before she could speak Christina walked outside

"Danielle wants you." She said hoping he would change his mind and leave

"Whose Danielle?" He asked

"My daughter" she spoke anxiously

He immediately grew angry and began shooting at the door, the bullet went straight through the screen door and shot Daniel straight in the shoulder, screaming in pain, billy grew more anxious. He demanded to know who was inside. June not replying caused him to shoot On the sidewalk in between her and Christina.

"Jacks inside" June muttered out of fear.
He began pacing towards the door, the moment he opened it, it revealed 3 girls standing over and assisting Daniel, moving in fear, he demanded to know where jack was.

Just as he shifted towards the staircase he seen Jack, carter jumped in front of billy as he began shooting the house

"Carter move before I kill you" he hollered

"Kill me then" she screamed

She looked directly at Daniel as billy moved backwards. Mouthing I love you he lifted the gun and shot her. It all happened in slow motion, cops came running through the door and tackled him to the ground as he shot the gun one last time right at June, making the bullet land right between her eyes.

"Nooo" everyone screamed, just as jack came running down the stairs. And paramedics tried getting both girls into the ambulance. June didn't make it to the hospital, Carter died in the operation room.

8 friends, devastated. All broken. All their lives changed.

3 days later, Mr.Cardoza had a viewing for both girls

"Thank you for everyone who came and loved these girls as much as I did." Was all he could manage to say before breaking down.

All 8 friends were hurting for a long time. The band broke up. Jack and Daniel were lost, hurt and heart broken. It was too much for Christina so she moved back home with her parents for a year, her and Corbyn met up back in Los Angeles where he followed his solo career, they got married in a court house, because they didn't want anyone to be there since things were different. Jack adopted Danielle and lived in Florida, so he always had a part of June with him. Zach and Lena got married, that was the last time the boys sung together. Zach became a music producer and created his own brand, Lena supported him and they loved one another uncontionally. Jonah and Rachel ended up moving to Alabama where Jonah decided to go back to school to become a doctor, Rachel was already a substitute teacher. Daniel lost himself for a couple years, drinking and finding drugs to cope with his sadness, finally going to rehab he got himself together.

"My studio, LA, September 1st be there" Zach sent in the group chat.

All 5 boys walked into Zachs office as if it was old times. Jack walked into the studio, the microphone was such an old but great feeling. Putting the headphones on, he began singing

"Nobody gotta know" acapella

The other 4 boys walked in, headphones over their ears and sang their old songs. It felt great.

"Why don't we start over" Jonah protested

"He's gonna bring me home dad" Danielle cried as jack dropped her off at her boyfriends house

"I love you" he said kissing her forehead

All the boys were content but the two missing pieces in their lives could never be replaced.
