One week flew away without any incidents. No ghosts. No sudden confessions. No bumping into people. And surprisingly no nightmares. Summer vacation was getting close and they had to prepare for an exam before the vacation. Everyone was busy studying.

Jayden started to sit with Paige and her friends at lunch and every time he came, his well-built and friends followed him. Alyssa was so happy with it and she was busy finding the hottest from the hots. Only thing which didn’t work was Bruce and Jayden. Paige told him about Jayden’s confession and them being friends. But Bruce always ignored Jayden and left them always when Jayden and his friends are around making excuses about his ICT competition.  Paige was not happy her best friend being upset with her but she couldn’t do anything because his excuse was about his studies always.

That day, Paige was waiting for Jayden to go home after school because something came up with Alyssa and Bruce after school. She saw Jayden coming towards her.

“Can I ask you a favor today?” Jayden asked.

“Tell me.” Paige said.

“Well, I wanna some help in chemistry. Last time I barely got a C but this time I wanna score more. So can you please…?” he talked slowly without looking directly at her eyes.
“Oh Jayden, I will help you. You don’t have to be shy.” Paige laughed loudly and hit him on his shoulder.

Jayden’s face became red and he smiled.

“You wanna know how you look like now?” she asked still laughing.

“Yeah, yeah tell me my lady!” Jayden said bowing in front of her.

“You look like a puppy plus don’t call me your favorite phrase ‘my lady’.”

“Oooh! Who’s being shy now? Ha Ha”. He chased after her trying to tickle her.

She ran to get rid of him laughing loudly but didn’t see her best friend was looking at her with sad eyes from a corner of the school building missing those happy moments.

Paige and Jayden went her home to start studying and her grandma was leaving home for an appointment.

“Hello Jayden!” she greeted him.

“Hello beautiful! How was your day?” he ran to her and took her hand.

“It went really well and trust me you know how to change women’s minds.” She said laughing.

“So isn’t it a good thing?” Jayden asked.

“Of course, you crazy boy.” Grandma said again.

“Mama, we are studying chemistry today. When will you be home?” Paige asked.

“I’m not sure. Can you order something for dinner? I left money on your desk.” Grandma said.

“Okay. No problem. Make sure to eat and take your medicine at time it you are getting late.” Paige told grandma in a demanding voice.

“Alright honey. I’m getting late. You to have fun.” Grandma said treating them with a suspicious smile. Jayden chuckled.

“Oh you two again…” Paige said feeling uncomfortable.

“Honey, come here for a bit.” Grandma told her to a side while Jayden was looking at his phone.

“Why mama?” she asked.

“I know about these day youth but make sure to do it healthy and use something for uh… you know what I’m telling right? Because I don’t want my smart granddaughter to be an unmarried mother.” Grandma whispered to her.
