Paige fell on the floor with the person who she bumped into. She thought it was the woman. So she kept repeating the words ‘I’m not Rose’ continuously and was afraid to open her eyes. It was then she heard a boy’s voice.
“Yeah I know you are not Rose.” He said.
“Oh! I’m crazy. I was hallucinating a ghost before and now I’m hearing strange things. Am I dead?” Paige asked her self loudly.
“Well, I’m not very sure about the crazy part. But I can tell you are definitely alive. He said again.
“What?” she suddenly opened her eyes and realized that she was burying her face in a well build masculine chest.
She got up suddenly and turned around to hide her cheeks getting red.
“You are Paige. Right?” the boy asked.
“Ah… yeah” Paige said slowly.“Why were you running? Aren’t you supposed to be in the cafeteria now?” he asked.
“Ah… yeah actually I …” she suddenly stopped what she was going to say. ‘He wouldn’t believe me and spread rumors that I’m some kind of a lunatic.’ She thought.
“Forget it. I’m sorry and I should go now.” Paige said and turned to go.
“Hey, wait.” The boy stopped her.
She stopped looking questionably.“This is your phone. Right?” he took a phone with a pink color back cover from his pocket.
“Oh thank God! I came looking for it but couldn’t find it anywhere.” She said looking happily.
“My name is not God.” He said chuckling.
“What?” she asked wondering what he’s talking about.
“I found the phone and brought it to you. So you should thank me. Right?” he joked.
“Oh!” she said hating the sarcasm in his voice.
“Thank you for finding my phone. But you didn’t bring it to me. I came to you and you gave it to me.” She said.“I do not accept your thanking.” He said unexpectedly.
“Oh crap. I thanked you for finding my phone but you are being a jerk now while both of us are getting late to go to the next class.” Paige snapped at him.
“Okay. First, we are not getting late for the class because it has then more minutes. Second, I do not accept your thanking because I actually didn’t find your phone.” He said.
Paige looked at him thinking he’s crazy.
“What are you telling me to do now?” Paige asked angrily.“Well I found your phone but I actually didn’t find your phone.” He said seriously.
“What? Are you crazy?’ Paige asked loudly.
“Yeah. I’m actually kind of crazy.” He said chuckling.
“What are you talking about?” Paige asked.
“You bumped into me in the corridor and didn’t even bother to say sorry. You left hurriedly but forgot to pick your phone. So I picked it and came to the cafeteria but saw you were laughing with that geek, Bruce. I thought not to disturb you and give this later but when I look for you were gone.” He said fast.
“Okay. Thanks for your concern and calling my best friend a geek. I should go now.” Paige turned and started walking towards her class cursing the boy for wasting her time.
But he followed her having a sarcastic look on his face. She stopped and looked at his face carefully for the first time.
He had dark brown hair and greenish eyes. When he was laughing, she saw he has a dimple on left side of his face. He seemed about 5 or 6 inches taller than her so she had to look up to see his face.
