you will never know
"josh, you have to go. it's not your fault, or mine. blame the therapist for christ's sake! they're the ones that booked you in. just please, please don't pin this on me."
"momma, please be quiet. i don't care. all i know is i don't wanna go, but i'm being forced to go to a fucking asylum. do you know what it's like in there?" josh paced, hands folded behind the back of his neck.
"no-"
"you will never know what it's like! lucky you, mom, living your privileged life just having to worry about paying the bills while i, a nineteen year old kid has to worry about going to a god damn mental asylum because he's got another jackass stuck in his head!" he shouted, waving his hands in front of him. he was saying it out of pure anger and anxiety. he did not want to go. he lowered his voice, realising he had just snapped and that his mother was tearing up. "can you not understand? what are people going to think of me?"
he was pulled into a tight hug and couldn't contain it anymore. he cried into her yellow floral top, leaving a large wet patch on her shoulder.
"i love you, mom."
"i love you too baby."♬♩♪♩ ♩♪♩♬
"tyler, we need to talk about this."
"no we don't, i'm not going." he folded his arms and slumped further into the sofa. "i refuse."
"well you're going, there's nothing i can do about it. talk to your fucking therapist because you've been told and you have to. god, you've never been one to do as you've been asked, little mental shit! they're picking you up tomorrow morning, pack your stuff cause you're leaving regardless." she ordered and walked out of the living room and began going up the stairs.
"fuck."
tyler was not going to go. nothing could make him leave for that hell-hole of a place.♬♩♪♩ ♩♪♩♬
"i'm so sorry you have to leave. i'll see you soon baby. love you." laura said, fighting back tears. "it won't be for long."
"i love you to mom." josh replied before being taken to a white van, labelled in big, plain black arial lettering,
'columbus psychiatric hospital'.
josh knew he was crazy. nobody was like him.♬♩♪♩ ♩♪♩♬
"bye bitch!" tyler called from the arms of two hunky men dressed in black; black shades, black suit and a black tie to top it off. "i won't miss you!"
"that's so nice of you my dearest little shit, i won't miss you either. have fun in the asylum, lunatic!" his mother replied before closing the front door and getting back to her tv show.
"bitch." he muttered under her breath.
"respect your elders." one of the men said. "if i spoke to my mum like that-"
"yeah yeah, she'd jump your ass. i don't care. my mum's a bitch, shut up. just take me to this god damn asylum thing and get me sorted out before i snap your wrist in two." he snarled, staring straight forwards as the two men walked him towards the van.525 words.
