Blossom's P.O.V

It turned out that Bubbles' new friends weren't that bad, and Mitch had forgiven me so besides a little tenseness we were good.

"Hey girls..." Butch says coming over with brick and Boomer. I had moved from my seat next to Bubbles and now I was next to Josh. Brick looked at me and I saw so much heartbreak that I had to turn away.

"Hey guys! Boys this is Brick, Butch, and Boomer," she points to each in turn. "Other boys this is Mitch, Bruce, and Josh."

"Nice to meet you!" Josh said, reaching his hand over me to shake Brick's. Brick stiffly took it and gave it one shake before dropping it. Josh gave me a weird look and I mimic him. He laughs and tickles my side.

"Ah! Josh! Stop!" I laugh while trying to escape him. Suddenly I fall off the bench right next to Brick's feet. He looks down at me curiously as I clutch my side and laugh.

"You baka!" I manage to gasp back at Josh, but he just smiles and offers me a hand. I recover my breath and take his hand. He pulls me up into my seat and puts his arm around the back of my chair.

It would've been any normal thing any friend would do except it wasn't because of brick.

"Is he you're boyfriend, Momoko?" he asked stiffly. I jump at his question and Josh lifts an eyebrow.

"No. He's not, just a friend," I say back, surprised at the strength in my voice. Brick takes a shocked step back and narrows his eyes. I get up, slightly under his height and mimic him. We glared at each other for what seemed like hours but was only seconds.

"Why can't you accept the fact that we don't like you?" I say angrily. Brick's eyes widen, the hurt flooding in and I feel my heart scream in pain. What have I just done?!

"Umm, Momoko?" Bubbles said, snapping my eyes away from Brick. I realize everyone in the lunchroom was watching us, and closely at that. I look around and my face grows hot. I look once more at Brick, turn around, and run out straight from the room.
