The Barisol's child is an only child. Her name is Levia Barisol. She is a child genius, entering college at only 6. She studies the human mind and strives to discover exactly why hatred, evil, and war occur. She lives in the second period- a time where science thrives. But so does crime, war, and cruelty. A particular genetic disorder is prominent across the world. HERs. Hereditary Evil Disorder. Those afflicted have malicious and evil thoughts and actions, and are often unable to control it. The root of the illness is called Malice. The cause of all evil, a thing not of her world. Levia knows the world will be taken over, so do her peers. So they are creating an Ark- called Sin. The Ark will take them to safety, but they worry they will not finish it before HERs takes them all.

The Barisol's child is an only child. His name is Behemo Barisol. He is a strange child, preferring to play with dolls and bows and wear dresses and play with his mother's makeup. His parents try hard to stop his vile behavior, but the boy is insistent on it. Due to this, the wealthy and eligible child is looked down upon. All he wants is a way out, a new life, where he can be himself, but he knows his world is not where this can be.

Levia begins to feel strange compulsions. Murderous and malicious feelings. She reaches out to a peer to find a solution. A studier of parallel worlds and a genius as well, he tells her the cause of her thoughts is another version of herself that she must eliminate. So she looked through a mirror, and held up a knife.

Behemo has been dating his maid for a while now. His parents have urged him to stop his strange addictions, and he complied. He loves her, but envies her for her lifestyle. So one day, he asks her.

"Can I wear your clothes?"

"You're disgusting."

He sits in the corner of his room now, crying into the black and white fabric of a maid's dress. An angry voice yells from beyond the door. He is surrounded by the limbs of his dolls, still warm. There is another voice, from the mirror behind him. He turns and looks.

Just before Levia swings the knife down on the crumpled twin in the mirror, she stops. She realizes the trickery of her peer. If she kills her mirror, then she will never escape from the Malice. She will never ride out on the Ark of Sin. So she extends a hand. She pulls him into her world, and together they board the Ark of Sin.
