When Princess Maria Moonlit was born, the Queendom was overjoyed. When Queen Maria delivered her first prophecy, The Queendom was mystified. Maria was never a bright girl. The senate seemed to manipulate her like clay. A puppet for the true rulers. Her mother died during childbirth and her father assassinated under "mysterious circumstances", so the girl was quite often alone and never given the guiding hand of a parent. A devout believer in the twin gods of Levia and Behemo, she perceived them as her mother and father respectively. She could hear their whispers, she told the senate. That they spoke to her and told her what to do. Only the senate knew of what they saw as madness- the Queendom saw a brave, kind ruler, with a merciful heart and a careful rule.
Maria had her first son when she was 16. The Queen presented the senate her child, claiming she was a virgin. She continued to protest, deciding to tell the Queendom she was a magic prophet- not simply a prophet. The senate ruled to dispose of the child. He was thrown into a river at the midnight hour.
Maria was devastated. Her maternal desire for a son drove her to plead her parents for help. In a whisper of hope, they told her to create a life. Guided once again by her parent's hand, she was at peace once more and returned to her job as an empty ruler to the senate.
Nine months later, Adam Moonlit was born.
