After a week of being sick, you were finally up and rearing to get on with your life. Loki had been a sweetheart after he had gotten over the whole 'adorable' fiasco, and he stayed with you for the duration of your cold. He made more soup, via his magic, and even used it to warm the apartment to the perfect temperature.

You were laying with your head on the arm of the couch, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, and binging more Hallmark Movies. A cup of tea, now cold, sat on the coffee table, along with a bowl, half full of soup. You had fallen asleep an hour ago, and had just woken up.

Loki was no where to be found, and yet there was evidence of him being in your apartment within the last ten minutes. Through stuffy nose, you could still smell his cologne. One of his favourite things about Midgard, aside with the vast variety of books, was the large range of colognes. Tony had shown him, his array of different scents that pepper had bought him, and Loki had fallen in love. After that, Tony had gone out and bought Loki his own collection. Since then, Loki settled on something that smelt like mahogany with a hint of lemon, you loved it.

"Loki?" You asked, your voice much stronger than the past week.

"In here!" You heard a shout from your bed room. Clearly curious, you stood up, still cocooning yourself in your blanket. When you got into your room, you saw Loki, laying on your bed, reading a book.

"What are you doing in here?" You asked. Though it seemed obvious, it was still a bit strange that Loki would be in your room, compared to where he usually reads, in your living room.

"I wanted to lay down for a bit, but then I saw this book on your nightstand, and I was curious. Don't worry my love, I have not misplaced where you were." Loki grinned, patting the bed beside him. "Why don't you join me, I'm at the page where you left off. I could read it to you, if you would like."

You pattered over to your bed, and laid beside Loki. Curling up into his side, with your head on his chest, you sighed. This was exactly where you wanted to be.

Loki began reading from the book, The Selection by Kiera Cass, all the while stroking my hair. His soft tone, soon lured me back to sleep. Before I fully dozed off, I felt him shift, turning his head.

"I love you, (y/n). I know you could never love a monster like me, but even how you care about me, its the most precious gift I could have ever received."

And with that, you were out like a light, dreaming the most wonderful dreams.

When you woke the next morning, you heard shuffling from the kitchen. Sure enough, a few moments later, Loki appeared in the door way. He was holding a tray full of eggs, bacon, toast, and jams. Two glasses of juice floated behind him, and carefully place themselves on the bedside table.

"Good morning, my dear." Loki smiled, placing the tray onto the bed, before climbing back into it.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep." You looked down at the food in front of you, suddenly very aware of how hungry you were.

Loki pulled your chin up so you were able to face him, "Never worry. You need your rest. I was honoured to be your pillow."

The two of you chuckled, "I love you, Loki." You pressed a kiss to his temple.

Loki looked at you with wide eyes. His mouth sat slightly open, as if to say something, but instead he was silent. His head fell forward till he was facing the bed, and you waited.

After a few moments of laughable silence, Loki finally looked back up. His eyes filled with tears, he cupped your cheeks and pulled you in to a lip smashing kiss. The kiss was passionate, but not rough or feisty. It was soft, gentle, and most importantly full of love.

"I love you too! So much!" He pulled you in again, as he continued peppering your face with kisses.

"I know," You laughed. "I heard you as I was falling asleep."

Loki chuckled, pulling you into a tight side hug, "Well, my love" He emphasized. "We should eat. We have a big day ahead of us."

You looked at his quizzically before asking, "What big day?"

Loki smiled his signature, mischievous smile, "We have to finish the book and find out who Prince Maxon chooses to be his bride."

"Of course." You chuckle lightly, cheeks red, you look down.

"What were you thinking, my love?"

Completely red faced, you choke on your orange juice, "Oh! That, just that. Yup, gotta find out who Maxon picks."

"Of course, we could do other things?"

"Shut up and eat!"
