7:45am At school

The next day at school was boring, until they finally met their, not so innocent, victim.

He immediately looked at me and made a dash towards us. He tries explaining to me.

"Look Scar, I'm really sorry about-" but he is rudely cut off by Cy. "Save your lies for someone who actually cares."

Calum's eyes flash a bit of hurt, before being replaced by something much darker than that. He storms away angrily and me and Cy can't help containing our laughter.

We burst out laughing and everyone looks at us like we're mad. But, we're all made here, aren't we?

We wave bye to each other and I walk off towards my first class. Biology.

Mrs. Hemmings is the only Teacher in our school that doesn't give a crap ton of useless homework that isn't even checked by her.

I go to my usual seat next to Luke, but when I look there, he isn't here. Neither is Mrs Hemmings.

Strange.

The bell rings and all the students come rushing in. An old lady wearing a dress that's way too tight for her and hair that's way to bright for her walks in.

She looks kinda like a radioactive zebra.

Shut up brain.

"Good morning class, my name is Mrs. Benny, but you all can call me Mrs. B! Yay, I'm so hip. Okay, I will be taking over your biology class as Mrs. Hemmings is going back to Australia-"

I don't even bother listening to what ever she has to say from there on. Reality hits me harder than ever before.

If Mrs. Hemmings leaves, the doesn't that mean that Luke will be going too?

Congratulations, you figured it out! Of course, dumbfuck. He's her son.

Foster son.

Treats him as a real son though.

True.

"Yes Miss Le'blair?"

My attention snaps up towards Mrs. C or whatever her name was and I look at her confused.

"Pardon?" I ask.

"Well, you said true. I was wondering what you thought was true?"

I feel the whole class's gaze fixed on me. I gulp and sweat trickles down my forehead.

"Uhh-"

Make something up quick, Scar. You don't go to improve classes for nothing.

I look at the screen.

Micro-organisms!

"I thought it was true that, a cell is the start of a new life because when a cell divides, it forms a new human being."

Well saved.

"Excellent Miss. Le'blair. Now as I was saying-"
