Date night (part 3)

After we finished dinner, I'm all set and ready to go back home. "Thanks a lot for this date Justin," I say not so sincerely, considering the fact that every other date ends with a romantic scene, then again I realize I have nothing to do with him. "Oh we're not done yet," as soon as he said that, the lights flick off. Leaving us in the dark, the temperature suddenly feels chilly, and I'm getting goosebumps all over. "Justin?" I call out, but there was no answer. I wait for a moment but still no answer. "Justin?" I call out again, hoping to get a mere response. I could sense something moving about in the dark room, sending shivers up my sleeves. Suddenly the lights flick back on, with just me alone. I look around, sensing something different about the room. The table setup is gone, along with the glossy floorboard. But thankfully the walls are still the same. "Hey, Justin. You there?" I ask, looking around the empty room. Nothing but silence fills the room. Upon hearing footsteps from the corner of the room, Justin reappears. He's looking down at the floor, with a sad expression. And I thought he was happy, seemed like it was just me after all. "Marianatte, I..." he starts but I cut him. "You know what it's fine Justin, I know I'm just some casual fling to you, and I have no right to be upset of some sort. There's no need to say sorry, just go ahead. I know there's some other monster you've been hiding back there. It's okay, you know? I'll be fine," I say not letting him finish his sentence. I take off in a direction, somewhere away from Justin, without even knowing where I'm heading. I knew I shouldn't have agreed to going to this date. It's pointless, to think he'd like some dummy like me. I stop in my tracks, looking at my surroundings.
Shoot.
I'm lost.
Funny how things just get worse. Oh god what am I gonna do, weep here all alone waiting for sunrise? No way. I reach for my bag, then again I just noticed.
I left my bag back there.
Great, now I'm lost for sure. Well I was planning to just open up a portal and go home. But, thing is, the enchantment Is in my bag. How stupid. Guess I'll just stick to plan A, weep till sunrise.
Oh who am I kidding.
I gotta go back and get my bag. I walk back the opposite direction from when I got lost. Why did I even take off like that in the first place? Right, cause I'm a stupid freaking dummy who doesn't give a chance for others to explain. Just how stupid can I get? Very stupid. Gladly, I'm not that stupid to forget the way back. I walk towards the 'Cafe' and see Justin sitting at the porch, head in his hands. "Uh, hey Justin, are you okay? You don't seem fine," I say daring myself to speak up after leaving him earlier. "Huh? Marianette?" his head jolts up, he looks at me with watery eyes and a broken expression. "You came back? Why?" he asks. Well thats kinda rude. "I came back to fetch my bag, is it in there," I say ingnoring the sadness in him. He mutters an oh then hands me my bag. "Thanks," I turn around to leave but a sudden force pulls me back. "Wait, Marianette, I can explain, you got it all wrong," he says begging me to listen to him. "Wrong? And what do you mean by wrong?" I say squinting my eyes at him. "I wasn't gonna leave you and be with some other monster, the sad expression earlier was part of the plan. I figured you took it the wrong,  that's why you took off right?" he says. I nod and say "So tell me, what is this plan?" I say still not believing him. "Seems like my plan was a failure so I'll just be straight with you. Marianette, from that day I saw you trip and get chili sauce all over Isabelle, I knew you were the one. The one I think should be mine. Marianette, will you be my girlfriend?" Justin stands on his knees as if he's proposing to me. "W-wait what," I say dumbfoundedly. "I'm asking you to be my girlfriend, yes or no?" he says face palming. I take in a sharp breath and nod my head, hoping he would get the gesture. "What was that? Can't seem to hear you saying yes," he jokes. "The next time you leave me alone again, I swear I'm gonna stab you're ego in you're eyes, so you could see just how much of a jerk you can be," I say aggressively. "Oh but you love me anyway," he says tugging my sleeve. He's got my weakness, can't blame him for that. Like any other clichè date, it ends with him kissing me passionately in the lips. Except, I pushed him away to get on his nerves, knowing just about how much he's been enduring that today. All thanks to this so called stupid date night, guess it isn't so pointless after all, eh?
