Last coffee date

I got a call earlier from Justin, said he has something important to tell me. I guess I didn't really took it seriously and thought he was joking around. "Then it's a date," I said. "Sure," he said, uneasiness in his voice.

Out in the street with just my purse, wearing a black fur coat and the red scarf he gave me on our 3rd month anniversary.

Something important?

The words keep repeating in my head, so many thoughts came to mind.
Maybe he came to tell me he'll be away for the holidays.
Or maybe he's finally gotten his hands on an apartment for the both of us.
Or maybe
...
He's gonna propose to me!!!

But what if it wasn't good news, but something bad instead.
What if...
He's planing to break things off with me?...

No, no...

Think positive, you've gone so far together; He can't just break up with me, right?

As I enter the cafe, the smell of fresh brewed coffee came wafting in the air. I look around and see Justin sitting at the corner of the room. I walk over with a smile on my face and there I see it.

His smile. A forced smile.

This can't be good.

He arose from his seat to pull my chair, acting like the gentleman he's always been. "Hey, so what did you want to..." "Ohhh Ummm let's order a drink, what would you like?" he says quickly cutting my sentence as if he doesn't even want to bring up the main topic.

And the forced smile still not leaving his face.

"If so, then I would like a Caramel latte with no added sugar," I say with a smile. Not even acknowledging my expression, he left to get our orders at the counter.

He came back with a glass of Caramel latte and hot chocolate.

Justin.

He's never really been a big fan of coffee, somehow I find that kind of cute.

A thought came jolting my brain. "Hey, do you still remember the first time we met??" I say from out of the blues. "Y-yeah, it was at a cafe... That happens to only serve coffee as beverages," he says turning into a shade of red. "Those were the good times, really," he says finally letting out a genuine smile. Not long after that he quickly covers his smile with the forced one before.

"So...?" I say to break the unnerving silence. "Marrianette, I'm sorry," he suddenly apologises. "What? Why? What'd you do wrong?" I say throwing questions at him. "It's not you, it's me!" he exclaims all of a sudden. "Justin? What're you talking about?" I say even more confused. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry... I feel like we should stop seeing each other..." "What do y-you mean?" tears are already welling in my eyes. "All this time, I've seen you smile and laugh but it's never enough. You deserve someone who can make you happier, someone who wouldn't dare to hurt you, and someone who would be there at the times when you're in need. You'll do fine without me, better even,"Justin stands up from his seat, tears welling up in his own eyes. "Say, this is our last coffee date. Yeah?" he starts to walk away from me and soon disappears into a portal. Everything happened too fast and the steaming tears roll down my cheeks, the sadness and rage unleashed. Out of my own selfish desire, I never wanted this to end. If he's ready to move on, then I too shall move on.
Hopefully, He also finds someone that can treat him better than I do.

Ahahaha...

Apparently, this will also be the last chapter of this story. I'm ending it all here. Why? It's kind of stupid really, don't blame me for this. But the whole 'relationship' really is over.
This story is kind of based on my real relationship, well not the scenes that happen, but the actual fact, the actual relationship. I might be working on a different story now. But I still have no idea what. I'm not gonna give up so soon, I'm just having a bit of a blur right now. So I guess this is the end. Thanks to the people who are willing to read this story. And also to all my friends that has helped me and is still helping me. Thank you.
