The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I was out of bed and ready for school. NOT. It was actually raining out and the thunder clapped and the lightning struck. I was also not out of bed, my covers were pulled over my head so I could get a few last minutes of precious sleep. My twin sister, Nova, was up and singing to herself as she applied another layer of lip-gloss. I yanked the sheets from over my head, "If you put another layer on no guy is going to want to kiss you because they would drown."

Nova turned to face me and raised her thick eyebrows at me. "No boy would kiss you because if they did, they would die of dehydration." Her perfect blonde hair was up in a loose ponytail. "I can't believe you're not up and getting ready. We're leaving in fifteen minutes." I groaned as she spoke. I threw the covers off and grabbed my towel so I could go shower. Nova spoke once again, "By the way, we're out of conditioner." I groaned again.

Once out of the shower, I got dressed, brushed through my damp hair, and put on a pair of shoes. "Not wearing make-up today?" Nova walked back into our room with a banana nut muffin. "Who do I have to impress?" I asked.

"You never know if there are going to be any cute new boys." She hummed and turned on her heel.

"Why would they care? They wouldn't want to die of dehydration remember?" I shouted after her. In all honesty, I could care less if there was a hot, new senior. I had my eyes set on the best looking guy in our class. Paul Gideon West. The perfect specimen. He isn't really popular or unsociable either. He was the perfect in-between. He's tall, perfect brown eyes, and his short, styled blonde hair was magnificent. I have liked him ever since sophomore year when he asked to borrow my pencil.

This year I was going to do something about, erm, us. I was going to do my best to be myself. I had heard him late last year that he liked wholesome girls, not the fake ones who dyed their hair or wore too much makeup (like Nova). I was going to make this the best year by getting together with him. If I don't, well, life will go on.

I rushed down the stairs and the house was empty. Nova, Tyra, and Kate must be in the car. Our family is unique I must say that. We are made up of three sets of twins. The two eldest being Ethan and Delina, They were both in their second year of college, so we never saw them much. Ethan is the oldest and the only boy. Delina is younger by seven minutes. Then there is Nova and I. I was born before Nova by fifteen minutes. We are both high school seniors this year. Then the youngest set of twins, Tyra and Kate. They are both freshmen this year. Tyra is older than Kate.

"Jojo let's go!" Nova screamed from the driver's seat. I ran to the passenger seat, and got in as quickly as I could. "Did you eat?" I shook my head and she handed me a muffin as she peeled out of the driveway. The rain had stopped, but the clouds hung low in the sky. "It's like I'm the older one here." I just shrugged my shoulders and changed the radio station. I ate my muffin hungrily.
