Phoenix POV:
I was sitting next to the water calmly, and all of a sudden the lady from earlier jumped out of the water and landed right on top of me. She blushed and got off almost instantly!
I was wet from the water,
"Hey, what's up with you!" I shook the water off of me.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" She bowed to me and apologized.
"I'm not a queen, yes I'm royalty but you don't need to bow." I growled.
"Sorry.." she mumbled.
"I never got to ask," I tilted my head and furrowed my brows, "what are you?"
"I'm a sea serpent well not fully as you can see, just like you're part dragon from the.. um.." she tried to remember the kingdoms..
"Fire kingdom."
"Fire kingdom! I knew that." She tsked at me..
"What is a fire princess doing out here by the water? If you don't mind me asking." She looked at me and her eyes where so pretty...
I blushed,
"I can say the same for you, but I like the water.. even though I've never been in it.." I smiled as I shivered and started to walk away.
"Hey wait up!" She ran to catch up with me.
"I don't think I should be with you... I'm sorry." I sighed as a played with a strand of my pale blonde hair.
"Then why don't you just fly away..?" She said in a curious tone.
"If I get seen by the guards of my kingdom I'll get locked away for a few weeks I'm not aloud to be here by myself at night I'm the king and queens only child if something happens to me there will no longer be a royal fire family..." I looked at the passing trees.
"Oh.." she looked at me.
I sat down in a spot that was pretty big..
"Your name is delta right..?" I looked at her curiously.
"Yes." I couldn't stop admiring her.. her beautiful black hair her blue and black dress was breathtaking....
"I'm sorry is there something wrong..?" I guess she saw that I was staring at her..
"No, no! Um I just wanted to say you are very pretty." I looked down and blushed slightly.
"Well thank you.." she blushed
I heard whispers in the trees I looked around.
"We better get going.." I grabbed her hand and started to run I looked back at her and she was blushing like crazy but I don't think she saw that I noticed.
"Hey a dragon! And a serpent!" A man yelled from the trees.
I let go of Delta's hand.
I freaked out and tripped over a wire on the ground which made a cage fall on top of me.
The cage didn't fall on delta but she hid behind some bushes..
"Looks like we got you miss dragon!" A man held a old hunting gun at me..
"If you move you're dead." The man laughed at me as one of his friends opened the cage and held my hands behind my back.
I kept still but then they told me to get up and we started walking...
I heard delta trying to get the humans attention but failed.. each and every time.
We stopped at a small Clift with water underneath it.. not to big enough to where if I fell off I wouldn't die..
But there was one small problem..
I don't know how to swim.
The men pushed me in to the deep water
I didn't have the time to start flying and if I did they would have shot me down..
The water was deep
I screamed and I couldn't breath..
I started to black out..
I woke up as someone was shaking me and calling out my name..
"Phoenix! Phoenix! Wake up please!" The quiet voice was hard to hear.
I opened my eyes, it was delta..
I coughed
"What happen..?" I was still coughing..
"The men pushed you into the ocean and you couldn't swim I saved you." She sighed in relief.
I was cold and shivering.
"Oh um you're cold.." she looked around, "how about we start a fire?" She grabbed sticks from the trees and brought them to me and put them in a pile.
"How do you make a fire..?" She tilted her head in confusion.
I piled the sticks more neatly and then blew a small breath of fire on them..
"That's how." I looked away
She wrapped her arms around me to try and warm me up faster.
I blushed...
I shook my head like a wet dog would..
Then I heard the guards from my kingdom.
"Crap! I better go.. meet me here tomorrow okay?" Before she could answer I flew off, I knew I was in big trouble..
I saw her safely go into the water and I smiled as I secretly flew back to my castle on the mountain..
I hope she wasn't in to much trouble...
I got into my room right before my parents rushed into my room, I ran into the bathroom.
"Phoenix! Are you in here!" I heard my mother call out to me.
"Yes just getting ready for bed!" I yelled.
"Ok false alarm.. I'll call of the guards." My father's deep voice said sternly.
They walked out and I got into dark red shorts and a black tank top to sleep.
I kept thinking of Delta..
I couldn't fall in love with her..
What serpent would love a dragon.
I was laying down but I couldn't sleep..
I heard my parents talking about something outside my door so I decided to listen but all I heard was my father saying.
"We will tell her tomorrow morning, now get some rest my queen."
Then nothing else was said..
I then fell asleep a couple minutes after that.
I awoke to my butler telling me to wake up and that my parents wanted to talk to me.
I got dressed and went in the throne room.
There was another high class dragon.
I had no clue who he was..
"Hello my sweet." My mother had greeted me.
"Hello mother hello father." I put my hands behind my back and bowed to them.
"this is Uriel, he will be your king he his an upper class like you-." I cut my father off.
"I'm sorry but what!? "My king" I clenched my hands, "I am not getting married to anyone of your choice I'm sorry father but that's fact!"
My father stood up as I saw the flame in his eyes
"You will! We told you you had 4 months to find a king and you still haven't! So We will pick one for you!"
I had heard enough and walked off, well more like flew off I went to delta's beach and sat next to the water and cried..
I didn't want to get married to a stranger,
I have feelings for someone else..
