I held back the smile threatening to take over. I knew this young warlock would not be able to resist his mate. Poor Logan, he will be very upset once he sees the mark on her. “Fear not young Gridlock, my name is Divinity. I have sent for you both. There is much that needs to be discussed. But I fear my interference will dissolve the illusion of you in the pack house. They will know you have not been there for quite some time.” I had promised not to interfere, but I found myself warning the kids of their fate. I must trust that they will make the right decision for them. Once I explained I called upon the other young wolves.

Logan’s POV

I paced back and forth in anger. ”This is so unfair dad, why did I have to lose out on watching my daughter grow.” He stopped and turned to Serenity. “Why in the hell did that guy have to come and take my daughter?”

The laughter reached his ears before he heard the footsteps. “Seems to me, like you got a taste of your own medicine son. Aren’t you feeling like you won the lottery yet?”

Logan’s words came back to bite him in the as. Yet he couldn’t help the grin that broke out. “Tom, you know you love me.” He said to his father-in-law as he slung his arm over his shoulder. “Don’t get me wrong, I knew my little girl would leave me one day. I just figured it would be way down the line and many years from now.

Serenity wrapped her arms around his waist and sighed. She too wasn’t ready for all this. “We better get back to the children.” She said as they all went back to the pack house.

Once they reached the house and entered. Several things hit Logan at once. One, they were all quiet. Two, Gridlock had a guilty look on his face. Three his daughter had a glowing aura. It was the third thing that made him shift into wolf form. His mind clouded as he charged the boy.

Daisy saw her father heading for Gridlock and she did the only thing that came to her mind at that time. She got in front of him and extended her hands and yelled “freeze.”  What she didn’t expect was the shimmering that happened as her father did exactly that. He froze in his tracks.  Everyone went silent.

“What the hell was that?” She screamed as she ran to her father.

“That my dear, is your witch half emerging.” Morgana said as she turned to Gridlock. “My brother, it seems like your mate is a natural at casting spells.” He seemed to swell with pride from hearing his sister’s words.

“I did this to my father?” She could feel the tears threatening to fall.

“I for one, think it’s a marvelous turn of events. It’s nice having Logan quiet for a change.” Tom said as he walked around the frozen wolf form at his feet. Serenity scolded her dad and Morgana took the time to unfreeze Logan from the neck up. Logan howled in anger and Destiny mind linked him.

“You are scaring your family and your future pack. Please calm down. Unfortunately this is our situation now. Stay calm my friend.” Her words served to calm him down. That and he was sure Redemption had zapped him again with her powers. Little by little he unfroze.

After changing he rejoined the group. “Daddy, I love him. Please don’t be angry.” He hugged his little girl and glared at Gridlock over her head. Serenity joined the hug and then they heard Ricky and Sofia enter the house.

This time it was Logan helping to hold Ricky back. It seemed young Caleb had also gotten himself marked. Yet it seemed none had fully mated yet. He turned to smell his daughter. “You haven’t fully mated yet and you froze me.” Morgana and Gridlock turned to look at him.

“She shouldn’t have my powers yet.” Gridlock said all worried.

“Maybe it’s her white wolf powers at work.” Sofia said smiling. Everyone turned to Daisy as she looked at her hands.
