Chapter eleven: Friends {end}

It's been a month now. The gifts have stopped and we avoid each other.

Jimin and HyeRin, Jiyeon and Hoseok are couples. They really are in love.

I'd hang out with boys, but make sure I'm not near Taehyung.

It's all so weird. Everyone I look at him, my heart beats fast. I can feel butterflies in my stomach and my face starts to heat up.

I really miss the gifts. And his rectangular smiles. His smiles have completely stopped and he's not the usual Taehyung. He's not the Taehyung from before.

I miss that Taehyung.

I opened my locker to find something unexpected. It was my favorite candy. And a note. I smiled.

The note wrote:
Please meet me at the park after school.
- Taehyung

It said. No 'V'? And what park? It can't be that park right? I sighed. The memories make me feel many emotions. Just forget it. Forget it.

It was after school already and I was heading to 'that' park. Yes I call it 'that' park.

As I get to the park I notice a familiar figure on a swing. He was facing the lake so his back was facing me. I take a deep breath in and walk over to him.

I tap his shoulder making him jump. "Oh. It's just you." He sighed in relief. I sat on the swing next to him.

"So why did you want me to come here?" I ask. "Jiyeon and HyeRin explained to me what happened. Why you decided to reject me." He said.

I look at him and then look at the ground. "I'm sorry, about your loss." He said. I started to get sad. Taehyung noticed this and changed the subject.

"If it's alright with you... we can be friends" he says. I smile a little and look back up to him. My smile faded soon after. "But..." he trails off. "Not only do I not want that... I'm also moving away." He says.

Huh? "I'm moving back to my hometown. I don't know for how long but I just know it's going to be really long." He says.

He looks at me and smiles sadly. "I'm going to miss you Y/n. But I'll be back someday so don't worry."

"I'm leaving tomorrow." He says.

The next day Taehyung didn't go to school. I think he left already.

I was really sad. Without him I felt empty. Jiyeon and HyeRin try to cheer me up but it didn't help.

"You guys were right... I did like him.." I say. They both hugged me tightly. It felt like last time when he died.

"Hey!" We heard someone shout. It was Jin. "Hm? What's wrong Jin?" Jiyeon asks. "Oh it's nothing. I just need to borrow Y/n for a while." He says and smiles.

Wha- I was cut away from my thoughts as Jin dragged me away. We stopped in front of an empty class room. "Kim SeokJin. You better tell me wha-" I was stopped by an annoyed Yoongi.

"Aish! Be quiet will ya'. Just go inside the classroom." He says. Rude much?

I listen to what he said and open the door to the classroom.

There revealed Taehyung. He was smiling his rectangular smile which I adored so much.

"Hey!" He said. I was surprised and shocked. "W-what are you doing here I thought you were leaving" I say. "Yes in a few minutes. I came to say goodbye to my Hyungs." He said.

"Oh okay" I say. "And I came to say goodbye to you too" he says shyly. I blush a little and look down.

I couldn't handle it. I ran up to him and gave him a hug. "I'll miss you. V" I say. He was shocked and surprised but hugged back.

Before the hug, it felt so cold. Now, it was so warm. I would stay like this forever if I can but I had to let go.

"Well I have to go now my parents are waiting for me." He says. Before he leaves he gives me something. It was the flowers he hadn't been able to give me. I smiled.

"Goodbye, Taehyung" I say sadly. He smiled and waved goodbye before leaving the building.

I couldn't help but let my tears fall down my face.

Goodbye, Taehyung. I'll miss you. And I love you too.
I guess I was too late.
