Chapter 6 - A Day To Remember

The warmth of the morning Alolan sunshine gently wakes me, and I stretch as I wake up, with a yawn. Noticing that Sun isn't beside me, I look up to see him sat at his desk.
"Oh, morning Sun!" I giggle. Suddenly, I remember what day it is...
Oh, it's my birthday...
"Morning Lillie," he says, suspiciously casually. For a moment, I hoped that he had forgotten that it is my birthday and that we could just have a normal day... maybe he has!
"So, what do you want to do today?" I ask casually. He smiles.
"That is all up to you, Lil," he laughs, sitting down next to me. "Happy birthday," he whispers, a big grin spread across his face. I gasp, and look up at him with a smile.
"Ah, so you didn't forget!" I laugh, throwing my arms around him and embracing him in a hug.
"Of course I didn't forget! I've been thinking about it all week!" He laughs, gently squeezing my sides as I sit in his lap.
"Oh, I didn't want you to worry about it..." I sigh.
"I've been looking forward to it!" He laughs huskily in response. I smile, gazing deeply into his confident grey eyes. Without anything needing to be said, he gently pulls me into a long and passionate kiss. Of course, I allow him to slowly creep his hand up my black nightshirt, and he tickles me around my stomach, where he knows is my ticklish spot.
"Ahh... S-Sun... heehee, s-stop it!" I laugh, giggling and squirming about in his lap. He chuckles too, stops tickling me, and squeezes me gently in another hug.
"So, I hope it's ok, but there is somewhere special we need to go today," he whispers.
"Ooh, ok! I'll get dressed then," I reply, excited.
"Alright. I'll go make breakfast,"
With that, I climb out of his lap, and find my clothes to wear.

Once I'm prepared and dressed in my Z-form, I meet Sun in the kitchen. I sit on the sofa next to Decidueye, who I'm surprised is awake so early.
"Hey, why is Feathers up so early?" I giggle, petting him gently.
"Because he knows it's breakfast time!" Sun laughs in response, placing Feathers' bowl down next to him. Decidueye chirps, and begins eating happily. "And here is yours!" He remarks, handing me a plate of food, whilst sitting down next to me with his own.
"Thank you!" I giggle. Just then, mom walks in.
"Ohh, happy birthday!" Mom smiles, gently hugging me.
"Heehee, thank you mom!" I laugh, hugging back. As usual, we all eat together.

Once we've finished, I make sure I've got everything I need, and Sun seems to be ready to go.
"You ready to get going, Lil?" He asks softly, taking my hand. I smile happily, and nod.
"Well, you two have a great day. See you later!" Mom calls behind us, as we leave.
Almost as soon as the door closes, I hold both of Sun's hands gently and look up at him, giving him my puppy eyes (which I know he can't resist).
"Where are we going?" I ask cutely.
"Oh Lillie, its a surprise! Come on, you know I can't resist those puppy eyes!" He laughs, kissing me gently on my forehead. He crouches down, and gestures for a piggyback ride.
"Piggyback ride? Come on, you'll see where we're going very soon!" He assures me.
"Ok..." I giggle, climbing up onto his back.
Before long, Sun breaks into a sprint towards Iki Town.
"Does this remind you of anything?" He pants, with a smile.
"I think... wait..." I say slowly, smiling. Seconds later, we come to a stop at Iki Town, where I carefully dismount off of Sun. Excitedly, Sun takes my hand and we walk together into the town... There, gathered in Iki Town, stands all of the Kahunas and Trial Captains, along with Hau, mother, Gladion, Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet... so many people! I gasp, covering my mouth with shock. Hau spots us first, and waves with a cheer. Soon enough, the entire lively crowd are cheering and waving!
"Happy birthday, Lillie!" Sun laughs over the noise of the crowd. I laugh too, and squeeze him in a hug.
"Wow! Thank you, Sun! You really shouldn't have," I giggle.
"Of course we should have! Birthdays are like, the best things ever!" He chuckles. And so the party begins! Sun and I speak to all of our friends at the party, and I'm wished happy birthday by many, as well as given presents! Hau eats Malasadas, which doesn't really surprise me. Soon enough, even Team Skull arrive, I guess Guzma doesn't like to miss out on parties. There are even battles and Z-pose shows!
Later on, Sun approaches me.
"You know, I've got one more present for you," he says with a smile.
"Oh, really? Thank you!"
Sun steps up onto the wooden podium, and Hau helps clear a space. I watch wondrously and step forwards opposite him, as he pulls a Poke Ball out of his bag. With a grin, he hands it to me.
I take a few steps backward, before gently tossing the Poke Ball - and with a brilliant flash of light, I gasp, totally amazed by what I see. It's... a Cosmog!
"Oh my Arceus, Sun! It's a baby Nebby! Thank you so, so much!" I exclaim, as it cuddles into my arms with a smile.
"Happy birthday," he says again with a smile.
The amazing party goes on through the day, and even into the night! There is singing and dancing, (which I participate in with Sun), balloons and cake, and even a beautiful fireworks display in the evening, which I of course watch with Sun.
As I sit with Sun and we watch the fireworks, I can't help but be reminded of the festival of the night that Sun became champion... everyone is having such a great time, it's just beautiful!
"I love you so, so much Sun," I whisper, as the moonlight spills onto us both.
"I love you so, so much too, Lillie. I don't know what I'd be doing anymore if you hadn't of returned from Kanto," he whispers, tearing up a little. I smile, and kiss him for a long while beneath the clear night sky.
"Well I'm back now. And I'm never, ever leaving you again," I promise, as our lips depart.
Shortly later, we decide to head home, as it is getting late. When we arrive home, we say goodnight to Mom, and get ready for bed.
"Thank you so much Sun, for everything you've done. I've had a great day," I remark, as I climb into bed with him.
"No problem. I've had a great day too. Sleep well!" He whispers, cuddling into me. I sigh happily, and close my eyes.
"Goodnight, Sun."

'Return to Alola,' finished. This has been my first time writing from Lillie's point of view, but I've found that it's been... interesting. I'd like to know what you've thought of it, and whether or not you want to see more.
